There's a LOT of " Hacksaw's " in prison. Lotta tuff as shit teddy bears, who made one itty bitty mistake, n pay hard for it. Friend of mine got jumped at a bar, over a girl they lost cuz she wanted my friend more. Well, they were celebrating their win over stomping him out 5-1. Lol So Clint grabbed his deer rifle out of his truck, n shot the beer bottle that the dude was holding, and the glass embedded into the dude's skin. He was fine, he was never gonna get shot, my pal Clint is hardcore, but not a fn murderer. Well..... He got popped for "shooting him"! Saying the bullet was close enough n might've nicked him. It didn't. But whatever.... 10 years for attempted murder and A&B with a firearm. I can do another 29 stories here...
"Big difference between justice and law." That's essentially what my granddad told me sixty years ago, and he was a member of the state bar for over fifty years. I liked Borne in WCCW, and his later interviews where he admitted his behavior, but he also invited all the demons in and never really tried to get any help.
Terry Gordy told me about a fight Jim had in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Duggan lost his glasses Terry said they were telling Jim where his opponent was. And Jim crumbled the guy up like a piece of paper in the floor.
Who the hell gets in a fight with Hacksaw? Got to be a special kind of ahole to get in a controversy with one of the nicest guys in the history of wrestling
Matt Bourne was always a wild card. I saw him on an independent show with the BBOW. He was supposed to come out and sign some autographs, but he sat behind his table, pretty drunk mouthing off and calling a bunch of people names. He decided it was a good idea to try and feel up one of the female talent that was there. My friend who stand at 6 foot five and is disciplined many of martial art told him his behavior was unacceptable and that he needed to apologize. He decided to cause a big scene and puff up his chest, like he wanted to take him out in the parking lot and fight. My friend warned him that that wasn't a very good idea, but Matt just kept running his mouth. Eventually, one of the other fighters on the card had to break things up. I have fond memories of the show minus that incident. There was a couple of little people wrestlers that put on a hell of a match. One of them was named beautiful Bobby. Jake Roberts and the one man gang had quite about. The man took a chair shot to the head and to a loose screw. Jake ended up cutting his head open. I've got pictures of the aftermath. The free birds were there as well. Quite a hell of a tag team match. Greg, the hammer Valentine wrestled as well and was a pleasure to meet. I still have the autograph he signed for me. There was a generic version of the ultimate warrior who I had my picture taken with. I don't remember who he wrestled, but it was pretty good. One of the other matches on the card I don't remember the opponent, but the heel was a guy named LA Steele. I remember his valet getting her wig ripped off lol. The guy had very curly blonde hair so 90% of us in the audience thanks to my big mouth started calling him Goldilocks. He wasn't very fond of it. He did the typical heel maneuver of getting in my face and telling me to shut up. It was awesome. What was a little awkward is when we saw him the next day at a local restaurant grabbing breakfast. Have been any nicer though. Pretty cool guy. The memories of wrestling stuck in my head…
Hacksaw is a hometown hero . Im glad hes doing well , good to see him. Shame about matt. His demons devoured him. He was a solid worker and despite the silly nature of the doink gimmick, it was over.
Borne could NEVER stand up against Jimbo. I was at Jim Beam's the night that happened in Baton Rouge, and all Hacksaw was doing was trying to calm the idiot down. We didn't see the dents in the car that night
Matt Bourne was known for cheap shots and starting fights. Two of the best stories involve Brian Blair (which was an epic fight), and Double A Arn Anderson. Seems Bourne was a fan of getting drugged up and getting into fights.
I side with Doink on this issue. He's is an evil clown and must keep kayfabe at all costs. It was just Bourne staying in character in the Duggan thing.
I miss Matt. He was a family friend, n was well liked here in Portlandia. He wasn't reliable always, and has his demons, but he was a bad MF. and he was tough. His dad was meaner than Matt was ffs! I went to the house one time, n Tough Tony Borne answers the door: " wtf doo ya wan " ?! Uh uh, isss is mmm matt home? ( He was suppose to be helping at the local college for a wrestling tournament, but never showed... I think he left to Mid South that week? ). Obviously Matt made the right choixe n becoming a star. But he could've called at least. Lol But that was Matt in a nut shell.
@Nostalgia9478 Or maybe you B Dumb. The Koko/Hacksaw thing was clearly a misunderstanding. I love Hacksaw but you don't know the guy personally, but he slipped up and said something that Koko mistook as an insult. It's funny that you point out the Roma punch as proof of him being out of control. Hacksaw did the same thing in the ring with Steve Austin in WCW and others. No one is a perfect angel.
Bruce Pritchard said Duggan beat Leroy Brown down on his podcast. Brown wanted some cash advance and Bruce did not give it to him so he was not going to wrestle. Duggan was supposed to wrestle Brown that night. DUGGAN beat Brown down for refusing to wrestle.
From the shoot interviews heard other wrestlers said Koko wouldn't start the fights but he would finish them still the craziest I heard was a wrestler sucker punch Koko while he was in the shower and Koko tore him up.
@@kingdjack6 I doubt Hacksaw started a fight with Koko... Koko punched Roma merely because he heard a rumor that Roma called him "Buckwheat".. Koko was just a hothead, Bro.. Getting into it with Duggan proves it imho
What do you mean he should’ve never been broken into the business?? He was an incredible worker. Dude had his demons like most of us, but he was a hell of a worker and got over every territory he was at
Those European tours were always crazy back in the good old days
How many referees did you chop up in Europe?
Duggan is one of the cats that
Knows he would end up doing prison time if doesn't control his emotions so he stays chill lmao
He's already wearing the shirt for it - watch it, Hacksaw!

Not only that but he destroyed a Burglar too.

Yep, big admirer of Matt's work, hated Hacksaw's 'wooden plank' gimmick - have to respect Hacksaw's work ethic.
I never seen anything more patriotic in my life by God. Hacksaw was the man with his 2x4 and American flag. God bless Jim Duggan.
That thumbnail made me realize how much Kenny Omega looks like Matt Borne
Nicest badass in wrestling.
Yeah thats a good way to describe him.
Thank you very much, Marcus, for letting Hacksaw tell the Matt Borne story. My first time hearing it from the horses mouth.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan = all-time great!
Duggan seems like one of the coolest dudes in the world that you just DONT F WITH...or he will eat you alive.
love Hacksaw
What I would give to have a couple of beers with old Hacksaw, seems like a great guy!
Terry Gordy told me about a fight Jim had in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Duggan lost his glasses Terry said they were telling Jim where his opponent was. And Jim crumbled the guy up like a piece of paper in the floor.
Wow...Duggan really said it like it was on Matt...😮

100% wrong dude to pick too
You got to love hacksaw since of humor😂😂😂
love the stories
Awesome stairwell. I like the use of the logs for steps.
I’m betting they’re just decorative end pieces, not whole logs.
Ol' Hacksaw
HOOOOOOOOOOOO USA USA USA 🇺🇸
Koko B. Ware got in a fight with 90% of the locker room.
Never heard of him losing...
@@dwade6322Sounds like Duggan slapped him silly
@@dwade6322 He would argue but not throw hands.
Short man syndrome.
Duggan is one of the guys no one says a bad word about. Borne is the opposite really.
Hacksaw seems like a legit nice guy in a rough business
Ko ko messed that guy up duggans spot on with that😊 duggan was always a great proformer 😊
Seemed like Matt Bourne just loved to cause trouble. He's been in quite a few altercations with other wrestlers.

Doink always rubbed me wrong. Didn't even want to see him lose
honest guy
I still cant believe he press slammed Giant Gonzalez.

Hacksaw hated Doink

They should’ve kept Matt as DOINK he could’ve taken that character so far

If you watch that match Duggan wasn't selling for Borne, so Borne just gave up on the match. It let me down on Duggan.
Hacksaw was in the wrong on the indy show. he wouldn't sell
Koko wanted to be a mid carder and not a jobber
I would have put the strap on Hacksaw 89/90 easily the baby face of all time.
