Abhishek is a good actor, but he failed to adapt as a commercial leading hero. If Varun Dhawan can survive as a leading man for over 12 years, then why couldn’t Abhishek, who is far more talented/well-connected than Varun? There was no excuse for Abhishek to choose some of the scripts he picked post 2010, and forcing himself into commercial multi-starrers didnt help either. Shahid reinvented, Hrithik reinvented, Abhishek did not.
What illogical thing? You guyz destroy a career on looks of an actor, see nazureedin, he acts in small budget movies, and then say he is not talented 😂
nah, there's one point which I agree with Abhishek it's not putting a weight to be a superstar. We have multiple big profile Hollywood actors too winning Oscars and giving one of the historic performances on films where they are not flaunting their physique. and at 53 what Abraham and Amir is doing is torturous to the body. If the point is Indian cinema watchers only take superstars with 6 pack abs then it kinda depicts a very sad reality tbh.
And not to mention, those actors who are show-off their 6 pack, are on extremely high doses of Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs. And if there is a work culture that forces you to use those horrible substances just to stay relevant, It's definitely not worth it.
This is one of the most underrated comments here. I honestly feel like we as an audience will always be the reason why a brainrot nonsense movie will do well rather than a good story with no flashy abs or clothes or expensive cars flying. Comparing an actor's relevancy to his ability to show abs, rather than the authenticity of the movie is just diabolical
@@pikichu01 what's funny that few vdos ago he was talking about how certain actress are reduced to item girl songs which spicy poses. So here, aren't the male superstars ripping their shirt and showing muscles and abs every now and then reduced to item boys(?) for cinema watchers lol? Then again, I'm not like anti body showing, Lala land is one of my fav movies and Oppenheimer has a s** scene too. But I felt like Shan's kinda contradicting here with six packs shirtless of males and two tops waist showing in females.
I read 20 years back that he never wanted to become an actor but was pressured into carrying forward his father's legacy. He wanted to do some business. He was in love with another actress but again pressured into a marriage of his parent's choice. It's the sad life story of most of the youngsters of India. Young people in India have to carry the burden of their parent's wishes and egos.

I believe Abhishek is more of a small budget movie star which are more of a story based rather than a big budget action packed mirch masala movie. For those reasons he is still one of my favourite actor because I believe his acting is far more impactful and attention grabbing than most of the big superstars.
Definitely a talented actor .I think he was never really passionate about his film career..He probably was more interested in being an enterpreneur than an actor. Nevertheless, always found him very dignified and respectful throughout his career.. Sometimes people have tweeted nasty comments and he has always handled everything with a lot of grace..Must have taken a toll on him..Hope to see him in more films ...
Abhishek have been good actor since then but now, he also have had bad luck too... And another reason is comparison with Amitabh Bachchan, this comparison ruined career of Harman Baweja too, when he was compared with Hritik Roshan
comparison se kuch nahin hota. Harman achcchi scripts select kar sakta tha, nahin kiya. Isliye career khatam ho gaya. Abhishek ko to bahut filme mile hain. Isse jyada usey kya chahiye jabki lookwise & actingwise woh below average tha aur hain.
Toh Harman Baweja ke career barbaad hone ki vajah Hrithik se comparison and it has nothing to do with acting, personality, script selection etc.etc. Right ?
I feel these are reasons: Mediocre acting choices. Getting compared or getting launched in competition along side Hritik. That to in 90s, where outer appearance mattered the most. Third dads persona 4th , always having burden of becoming a superstar, yaar log actor banane par focus kyo nahi karte , sabko superstar banana h , jo superstar h wo kabhi super star banane nahi aaye the , wo pehele actor bane then as a by product superstar bane
The problem with Shaan is,you are so arrogant that you say your opinions as factual statements. Yes outside of few films Abhishek didnt have success, but Guru was success because of story, good making and ABs acting. Maniratnam repeated him 3movies. Ofc he acted with good directors but were those scripts good? Dosthana was success just because of John's body and homosexual theme! Kuch bhi???? Matlab kuch bhi???? AB isn't a great dancer nd never tried to experiment with his looks etc also negative for him. His script selection was very poor like Akshaye Khanna. But don't just say crap as facts. You culd say "I think like this".
Well, this channel is technically for his opinions. So, I don't understand why you'd watch anything from anyone's channel, especially when it's a video that is being critical of another, as being objectively factual.
Guru, Bluff Master , Om Jai Jagdish...People who have doubts over abhishek bahan's acting should watch these 3 films....Shaan with all due respet you sometimes look out of your senses. Someone has faded away doesn't mean he was a bad actor.
But behen abhishek se acchi acting ajkl 15-16 sal k bacche krte h.. Nitanshi goyal ko hi dekh lo.. Kitna badiya kam kiya h choti si age m... Even siddhartha nigam ne kitna badiya kam kiya tha dhoom 3 m...

I think one of Abhishek Bachchans' most successful and critical acclaimed film has to Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It is one of his finest performances as well.
There was a meme inspired from Dhamaal, Sanjay Dutt asked four people, Tushar Kapoor, Zayed Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Jackky Bhagnani ki tum logon me jo bhi sabse bada flop actor hai wo aage aa jao, Abhishek ko chodh kar baki teeno peeche ho jate hein. Sanjay Dutt fir kehta hai, oh to tum ho sabse bade flop actor, Abhishek : pata nhi in situations me mai automatically aage kaise aa jata hun
Even his next film "I want to talk" will run in the theatre because of the Director Soojit Sircar. There is no doubt about Abhishek's performance yet this film would grab eyeballs because of the Director and his past records.
Sometimes abhishek bacchan ko dekh ke daya aati h, kitna mentally pressure, burden h . Hum toh yaha rishtedar ke ladke ke jyada marks or package se hi pareshan ho jate h
Abhishek Bachchan is like Parthiv Patel/Dinesh Karthik of Indian cricket. Started with a bang but again as Hrithik Roshan/MS Dhoni overtook the limelight, they slowly faded away.
His problem is self pity ..it has become a defining part of his personality ...certain types of roles really looks good and he had come out of his Father 's shadow once but you can't repeat same expression and same type of movies again and again ..his choices of movie were so bad ( happy new year, bol bachchan etc) ..he hides his insecurity under the grab being chill , unbothered , laid back but deep down this had grown onto him .....
Honestly, if you had a father and wife who has career accomplishments and personality, then it's normal to be unbothered and not be motivated to achieve the same or more. Riding on other people's coat tails is an accomplishment too.
Despite being one of the good looking actor, audience never accepted him as a lead. But he proved them wrong with his performance, abhishek in tv commercials gained popularity. Infact the guy is so talented that he rapped a song ek mai aur ek tu, i think he is more logical in real life than reel.. i can watch dasvi one more time but cannot watch jawaan and pathan, waiting for bhola 2

Hi Shaan, I have two videos ideas for u: 1. A detailed video on why bollywood is not focusing on sci fi genre which can actually uplift bollywood movie industry. They are still making masala action, cringe comedy and almost 0% scary horror movies. They should now focus on sci fi genre a lot (specially space and time travel movies) which can make them loved globally and good writing will be appreciated by whole India as well as the world. JL50 and RaOne are good examples that Bollywood can make good sci fi series and movies. 2. Why many bollywood movies are just remakes of old bollywood, south indian and hollywood movies? We live in the most populated country which is surely filled with creative writers and they should be given chance so that we can have original scripts with new great storylines. Thanks if u r reading this comment. I hope u will try to consider these two topics.
And also about why we can't have successful IPs of our own. In Hollywood, so many great directors have made compelling projects with characters like Batman, James Bond, etc and earning millions along with critical acclaim. While we don't have such characters who can attract masses and we can't see different directors experimenting with them and creating good movies which I think only Farhan Akhtar has done with Don and made him iconic among the new generation. Characters like Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, Don, Shaktimaan, Superheroes from Raj comics have this potential and new generation writers and directors should be given opportunities instead of restricting this to shit like Housefull.
He is actually a good at everything Acting good Personality and looks good Screen presence good Popularity good Everything good. But thats the problem He is not great at anything. He is just above average in everything To be a leading man you have to be exceptional in atleast one or more things. He always worked in his comfort zone, never tried to become exceptional in something. He wanted exceptional results by only being good. Thats the whole problem. If you look at where he is and what he has achieved, it is absolutely justified when compared to his qualities. His career like him has been good.
Being very honest, he is NOT a good actor, he is repetative in all his chracters. See him in raavan, guru same hand on waist , chest forward , same body language. Ya if you compare him with Tiger, Arjun then ya good actor, but bhai aab benchmark itna low kar doge to kya hi bole. And his wife is good in looks but that’s all about her. If it’s acting , then she is worst then him hands down.
Finally someone said it. Everywhere people write "Abhishek is such an underrated actor" what actor?? What performance of his made u NOT see Abhishek but actually the character? I see Abhishek in every performance of his be it a commercial film or an OTT Content driven film. He's a bad actor. That's it

If it wasn't for the fact that he is Amitabh's son, he wouldn't have gotten a chance to debut in the industry, let alone gifted 71 movies in a silver platter.
Abhishek was never a six pack guy nor was amit ji..I always felt abhishek did good roles with depth in them..he was not the steamy romantic actor but his roles and dialogue delivery are very good..as for comebacks of bobby deol n fardeen , abhishek doesn't have to loose wait and prove something for which he might be criticised more than being accepted..he is good the way he is and in ott platforms he will do good like pankaj tripathi, jaideep ahlawat etc..and salman Shahrukh masala movies are also flop these days..they have a lobby that helps hike the sales nothing else..best wishes to Abhishek
SRK Salman have blockbuster movies in their kitty to back them , no one compels the audience to watch their movies, they do it coz they have delivered in the past, that is what is called being successful, AB jr. didn't. Should have stuck with offbeat films but chased the quintessential Bollywood hero stardom and failed due to lack of the qualities required.
I feel that if Abhishek is flawed like not respecting Aishwarya and cheating on her(Not justifying his cheating) but deep down it is his frustration that he was focusing more on class not on appeasing mass like his Paa, not everyone is a Mass Masala movie actor, nor everyone should be like their father. If he was given freedom to follow his own way and be Abhishek Bachchan instead of Amitabh Bachchan's son, so wo kuch alag hota. I did not like him, and even hated my birthday as it is on the same day as Abhishek, but can say that he was a bad actor, bad husband and father, but I can feel that he was internally frustrated also. Mani Ratnam utilized the best out of Abhishek with films like Guru and Yuva, but Raavan's Tamil version was better with Vikram in the same role.

I really liked breathe into the shadows . Abhishek may not be suitable for every role . But in a dark , gritty or suspenseful roles do seem to stick with him . And we have to acknowledge the fact that he is not a very good actor. He can work towards it . He has shown it .
It is not about how many films you do . But it is about how well you do a film . Choosing film wisely is a very important thing and some stars put so much effort to be seen all the time even through lame story movies are in a long term a disaster move . Abhishek bacchan has experienced this in starting of his career
In my opinion, the prime reason why actors with already successful parents do not make it big in bollywood mostly, is because they lack the hunger/willpower to work hard. They have already seen all of that from childhood and they get stuck in that comfort zone because they're served every opportunity in a platter, unlike the talent from outside the industry.
Abhishek absolutely can't act. He's also unfortunately too similar-looking to his dad. His comedy is good though. But everything good about him is wiped out with how he treated Ash and his own daughter.
Its the same for Kareena in her beginning. If she was not repeatedly given opportunity then she wouldn't still be here. No talented person is given such opportunities.
I think Abhishek Bachchan ke paas talent or acting skills ki Kami hai ye profession unke liye nahi bana esa nahi hai ki unke father ki wajah se vo hamesha overshadow ho jate hai for a example Ranbir Kapoor being a nepo kid bhi unhone hamesha apna talent dikhaya hai jabki unke father or Puri family acting me apne time ke mega star rahe hai but unhone apna alag mukam banaya
abhishek is amazing actor by acting and after diving into all type of projects abhishek lost his aura which never existed .. i think rather than his film career all limelight went to his marriage and abhishek bachchan.. surprisingly due to good connections he got roles till now but abhishek never proved his conviction as a lead hero.. he choosen the well suited scripts only and rather than any transformation.. he is not the best actor at particular genre.. he is not good dancer or influencial.. he is not too controversial and also he has a lot burden.. rather than focusing on his career he always finds reason about anything.. and the one fact which we can not deny that right from the start abhishek never delivered remarkable solo hit and his projects are memorable but not due to only his performance and role..
I think Abhishek is a very good actor. The problem is he cannot avoid being the shadow of Amitabh. People in Bollywood always expect Nepo kids to become like their parents. To me, it also plays a major role in the downfall of Bollywood. For him, getting married to Ashwarya is not problematic. Ashwarya is an excellent actor, no doubt about it whatsoever. Ashwarya actually sought solace getting married to Abhishek just to get rid of Salman because as we all know what kind of person Salman is. People who say that I am Salman's fan ought to know what the truth is. He is genuinely characterless.
Guru , bunty aur Bubly , Bol Bachchan were hits bcz of Abhishek . His roles as supporting actor were superb in sarkar , dostana , dhoom series ,yuva are treat to watch . In yuva he played a major villain and i think he should try villian roles too
I think Abhishek is technically a successful actor. Because he has given us successful films as main lead like Guru, Dostana, Bunty aur Babli, and Bluffmaster. So he is not a one film wonder. His performances in other successful films are also wide appreciated like Sarkar series, Dhoom series, Yuva, and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. It's just he is not a superstar material from 2010s onwards just like Saif Ali Khan.
Bro, i love your videos but this time i dont completely agree. Even in movies that didnt work Abhisheks work was appriciated. He always put a good performance in his roles i feel. I dont think its about beeing lazy when i comes to his body cuz after gaining wheight for roles he also lost it shortly after. And comparing to Bobby Deols or Aamir Khans body transformation lets be honest ots not all natural and maybe Abhishek dont want to take those supplements. I feel that a big part of him not working in box office is his choice pf scripts. Manu of the scripts he choose had interesting concepts bit didnt work out as planned. And also he was really approciated for his work in dostana. Yes John stole the headlines with his shorts but Abhishek and Priyanka were appriciated for theis work in the movie. He has a intensity as a actor that many actors dont have. Hope he starts to get good scripts both as leding and supporting actor. We have many examples in India and hollywood where actors are remembered for their work and not body or six pack
In my opinion directors in Bollywood are not utilising people like Nana patekar, nawazuddin, Manoj Bajpai, and Abhishek Bachchan. Just look at his performance in yuva raavan and guru. Abhishek is a good actor.

If the point is Indian cinema watchers only take superstars with 6 pack abs then it kinda depicts a very sad reality tbh.
True
I agree
And not to mention,
those actors who are show-off their 6 pack,
are on extremely high doses of Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs.
And if there is a work culture that forces you to use those horrible substances just to stay relevant,
It's definitely not worth it.

Okay calling Abbas-Mastaan "talented directors" is a bit of a stretch.
By Bollywood 2000s standard.
Baadshah
to our parents generation's tastes, yes.
They did make some really good movies like Baazigar, Khiladi, Baadshah, Aitraaz & Race 1
Box office speaks at the end of rhe day its business and by that standards they are good.
Even comparison with Aishwarya😢
comparison se kuch nahin hota. Harman achcchi scripts select kar sakta tha, nahin kiya. Isliye career khatam ho gaya. Abhishek ko to bahut filme mile hain. Isse jyada usey kya chahiye jabki lookwise & actingwise woh below average tha aur hain.
Toh Harman Baweja ke career barbaad hone ki vajah Hrithik se comparison and it has nothing to do with acting, personality, script selection etc.etc. Right ?
I do not think it would be appropriate to use “downfall“. Abhishek now seems to know what he should do. He is doing good and which is fine for him.
I feel these are reasons:
Mediocre acting choices.
Getting compared or getting launched in competition along side Hritik. That to in 90s, where outer appearance mattered the most.
Third dads persona
4th , always having burden of becoming a superstar, yaar log actor banane par focus kyo nahi karte , sabko superstar banana h , jo superstar h wo kabhi super star banane nahi aaye the , wo pehele actor bane then as a by product superstar bane
Money and privileges blinded them. They will never understand these points. Bollywood itself is after money now. Art is missing in Bollywood.
He was launched in 2001, not in 90's, Hrithik was launched in 2000's.
@@brascoperryjoe6425 Sorry, both were launched in the same year.. 2000 mein dono ki Refugee aur KNPH aayi thi.

I think one of Abhishek Bachchans' most successful and critical acclaimed film has to Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. It is one of his finest performances as well.
Ye konsi faltu movie hai, naam bhi ni suna

Sanjay Dutt asked four people, Tushar Kapoor, Zayed Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Jackky Bhagnani ki tum logon me jo bhi sabse bada flop actor hai wo aage aa jao, Abhishek ko chodh kar baki teeno peeche ho jate hein. Sanjay Dutt fir kehta hai, oh to tum ho sabse bade flop actor, Abhishek : pata nhi in situations me mai automatically aage kaise aa jata hun
I know right, Abhishek is stealing talented people's jobs. At least the other three have given up.
Even his next film "I want to talk" will run in the theatre because of the Director Soojit Sircar. There is no doubt about Abhishek's performance yet this film would grab eyeballs because of the Director and his past records.

Hi Shaan, I have two videos ideas for u:
He is actually a good at everything
Acting good
Personality and looks good
Screen presence good
Popularity good
Everything good.
But thats the problem
He is not great at anything. He is just above average in everything
To be a leading man you have to be exceptional in atleast one or more things.
His real life persona has more acting😂 he isnt his true self ever in public and media. Its always a put on.Something like Sonam Kapoor.
Finally someone said it. Everywhere people write "Abhishek is such an underrated actor" what actor?? What performance of his made u NOT see Abhishek but actually the character? I see Abhishek in every performance of his be it a commercial film or an OTT Content driven film. He's a bad actor. That's it

Finally, someone calling a spade a spade after more than 2 decades. I have been telling everyone that Abhisek does not belong in the movies, be it acting, looks or the attitude to become successful.

Bhai ne coin switch ka add bahut hi lamba kar diya
Guru , bunty aur Bubly , Bol Bachchan were hits bcz of Abhishek .
His roles as supporting actor were superb in sarkar , dostana , dhoom series ,yuva are treat to watch .
In yuva he played a major villain and i think he should try villian roles too
Bholaa, uske next part mein (if happens) Abhishek is the main antagonist but I doubt if that film will be made given the end BO result of the prequel.
Judge him on his acting, not the ability to make 6 pack abs.
Ranveer Singh ke movie ka update do yaar ❤
Shan randomly :- chalo aao bedh kar chugli karte hai 😂
Buried under the shadow of his megastar dad
I think he’s a good actor people just make judgements and he had a poor PR team. Rest doing well are in the market because of their PR team
Bhai...aapka jacket mast hai....❤❤❤
In my opinion directors in Bollywood are not utilising people like Nana patekar, nawazuddin, Manoj Bajpai, and Abhishek Bachchan. Just look at his performance in yuva raavan and guru. Abhishek is a good actor.
Thank you for your analysis and for making a video. I'm so sorry to say I don't know why I felt like you're forced to make video and in great rush to get over with whatever you were saying. I felt your anxiety 😢. There was no pause and calmness. Jaisey mummy boltey hai "thahrav" ke jarut hai.
Please change the way your delivery is. Apart from that, its great effort and content also. Cheers
dhoom me hero toh villain hota hai 😊
Mr prashar you don't have the full information, for example Main Prem ki deewani hoon was a flop but still Abhishek Bachchan got nominated for best supporting actor, don't say it work Hrithik Roshan, Don't mislead the people, i think you don't understand cinema and even I can challenge you with the work he has done and the way other actors only prepares themselves in gym.
true he and pankaj kapur gave the best performances in the movies
Watching it after 4min of release video
I personally think Abhishek Bachchan would be perfect choice for Shaktimaan and Gangadhar (his face cut and everything seems perfect for the role).
Abishek is not a bad actor, he just doesn’t realize his skill is comedy. All the films where he does comedy are really good, he’s not a “hero” but he’s a good actor. Watch happy new year, Bol Bachan Dostana, houseful 3.
