- Here we tested all new available proximity mines in Arena War dlc update. Testing was done on vehicles, players and cops. Mines tested are Kinetic, EMP, Spike, Slick and Sticky.

Spikes: slowing anything in anyone chasing you in land vehicle
Sticky: to slow down people chasing you
Kinetic: to put chasers in uncomfortable positions
Slick: to make it harder for the person chasing you to continue
Emp: all of the above

Sticky and EMP are both #2 because EMP can damage, but if someone is chasing u at high speed, and he hits an EMP he will still roll towards u at a fast speed. The sticky doesn’t do damage, but if someone is chasing u, and he hits a sticky he will slow down.

EMP Definitely has to be #2. Extremely useful during Arena War (especially Wreck It), as well as when being chased in freeroam.

Hudson Ball in the vid he makes the kinetic mine look better than it is by placing a bunch close together but in the game one kinetic mine on pushes your car up a little bit so it doesn’t slow you down nearly as much as show in the vid

@@SparkyShootr Not really. I've tested them out myself independently and found the kinetic is the best one overall. It's the one I I've found that can consistently get me away from the cops.
@@hudsonball4702 I prefer the EMP because it puts the other cars to a complete stop for 5 seconds rather than just slowing them down. You can also put them in a row and make people never catch up to you.
@@SparkyShootr Thicc midget It doesn't slow cars. I was driving it slowly to find how many mines it takes to blow up. For practical results do check part where I was using them on cops.

The most useful in freeroam is by far the EMP.. It will give you the most time to get away from people that see behind you and plan whatever you need to do. The other ones are hit and miss most of the time

Fun fact: you can "pile up" multiple mines by just standing still and pressing the button a bunch of times. It won't look like they're on top of one another, but like a single mine making a lot of beeping sounds.
However, the damage of each individual mine is reduced each time you do it (at least against players on foot). So while piling up mines does cause a more damaging explosion than a single mine's explosion, it's still way less damaging than just laying them out separately: someone who runs over 5 mines one after the other will take more damage than someone running over 5 mines piled up.
And curiously, this damage scaling happens in such a way that a pile of mines will *never* kill a player instantly, no matter if it has 5 mines, 20 or even 40.
really late reply but if you do this with emp mines it is VERY loud when they explode. the emp mines are very bass-y and you can use it to scare the shit out of people lmao

Since it doesn't actually damage them, people find it entertaining to deliberately hit the oil slicks and go all slip-n-slide, lol!
Combine that with another friend with a ramp buggy, and you can make friends pretty fast in free roam!

Hint hint people: the kinetic mines will throw people off their deathbikes in the arena wars modes instantly killing them. It’s even better if you have the kinetic grenade launcher on the Sasquatch (all variants)
For the Kinetic mines there was a glitch to literally launch yourself by placing all the mines in one place after that u run away come back jump towards it and u get launched rockstar as u know likes to ruin everything and they patched it

They never patched this, as this isn't a glitch. You can stack a maximum of 5 mines in one place still.
@@derpyderp6719 it was unpatched in the summer dlc or contract dlc one of those but I am positive this was patched before you couldn’t launch your character alone they would just sit in place and take the kinetic damage but it was later fixed removed or added again unintentionally
Spike seems good in hindsight but bulletproof tires negate them entirely which makes EMP mines better because they do damage and cant be countered
Kinetic mines go even further with the unpredictability. Depending on how unlucky your pursuer is, they can be thrown into a spot they can't get out of, or so off course it's not worth the chase anymore.

(Ik I'm way late on this) Kinetic is really fun to use when stacking all 5 mines on each other, then watch someone fly.
I personally enjoy using EMP it helped me in 2 scenarios:
Oppressed MKII trying to blow me up and I throw an EMP and he takes the bait and lands on it.
And when a tank is after you or literally anything.
I also love kinetic just to fuck with people
Even if the emp worked on the train, it has so much momentum it probably,wouldn’t stop
Its one of those unbreakable things in game next to the fuckin trees and some railings its ridiculous.
The emp should disable homing launchers for people without a vehicle, it should also get rid of the sights on the gun

Kinetic is good for if your helping with a supply or sale mission, since it doesn’t automatically destroy vehicles and it slows down any tryhards

The only reason kinetic didn't stop the train is because some tracks have a 2 wheel system, like a dollar coaster, and the train isn't a thing is more of a giant block with a picture
so the mines in my opinion were
slick mines-were good for turning your chaser into something straight out of a cartoon, effective against fast vehicles(w/bulletproof tires)
sticky mines- were good for assisting missles and allows for less time to escape ambushes, effective against cops
emp mines- were good for disabling dangerous vehicles with weapons, effective against weaponized vehicles
physical mines- good for throwing your opponent into unexpected areas, effective against bikes, light vehicles and players
spike mines- good for slowing down vehicles with a chance of veering off course, effective against fast vehicles(w/o bulletproof tires)
