Sir arp ageout is 4 hr and mac address table for dynamic address is 5 min, after 5 min when the mac table is cleared, wont the ip to mac binding still be in the arp table? if so, does this mean when traffic for same destination arrives at switch, will it need to arp again? even if its arp table has the ip to mac binding still there?
In GARP if any one pc is having the same ip address generated by pc1(10.1.1.1) in pc4(10.1.1.1) the GARP reply message will come. so for PC1 the ip address(10.1.1.1) cannot able to assign. so for pc1 we need to assign new ip address. for the term purpose only repeating of IP address only GARP came. Is that crt or wrong.
Thanks
