It takes a lot of strength and courage to leave - remember these abusers mentally break the spirit before they start harming the body. If the victim escape's successfully then she can NOT go back even if he threatens to harm himself. Going back is literally signing the victims death warrant - he is going to make her pay for having the nerve to leave him. His power over her was broken and she has made him feel weak. Abusers are bullies who only feel strong and in control when they can feed off their dominance and fear of their victims. I think he was in a rage when he saw Karabo at a club enjoying herself. It was evident she had been building herself up and would eventually get over him. He probably made the decision there and then to kill her when he had the chance. It didn't matter that he had met other women - he had fixated on Karabo and had put in effort to break her spirit previously, he wasn't going to let her go on to live her best life. If he had lost interest in her and left her then she would still be alive. But she left him and needed to pay. He believed in his power over her and could be calm about killing Karabo because he felt that her life belonged to him. He was so calculating that he tried to defame her character by saying she was around Nigerian men, so when they eventually found her remains - the media would have said Karabo hung around shady people so that is what caused her death. I hope he is suffering in prison - abusive men only seem to have fire for women they aren't as quick to fight other men.

Thank you for this. I've read the comments and that's the Golden question "Why did she stay?" I don't think any of us who have never been in a situation or something similar to that. However, we have all been inlove to the point that we lose ourselves. We believe that this is the Love we deserve, this is the only person we are destined for and in those moments nothing else matters besides this person and the illusion of love.
She didn't stay. Its reported that she did move out and went to stay with her mum. Then they bumped into each other at a night club. But I am.led to believe he had a tracker on her phone.. It appears he sweet talked her into going with her to the penthouse.
I've been here before. When he first hit me I told myself he won't do it again. Very manipulative. I was still at University of Johannesburg at a time. Doing my second year in civil engineering. To be honest it's the kind of lifestyle provided, the convinience. Until I ended up in hospital and when I was discharged he was outside with my parents and told them a whole different story and left with me. I called my mom secretly and told her what happened exactly... Her exact words were "Nana it's not worth it, you don't deserve that, a finger on you is enough, you should leave"... Fast foward I stopped at UJ and changed my location. And told him if he ever tries to access me he will go to jail. I even told his family thtt if anything happens to me the police have the whole story. It's been 2 years now almost 3 that I don't even know where he is and I'm happy now. I'm grateful I left. We have failed our sisters. We don't teach our fellow young men there is no posession of another human being. These levels of abuse are a sign of societal rot. The Sandile's of this world are spreading and we are killing our sisters with our complicity. How can you be 26 and so emotionally immature? Who raises these people?

great video & commentary new sub. I do remember hearing about this crime when it 1st happened. Watching him in the video triggered a memory. This was a heinous murder. Rest in Peace little Sister.
Ladies and Gents.. - listen to the energy you get around people, you don't have to wait until it turns into something. - Someone raising their voice at you is a sign of what they are capable of. Don't wait until it turns into more. - If they can smash your phone they will smash your face - tell someone and protect yourself! It doesn't matter how small you think it is. - be so in love with yourself that you don't second guess leaving someone; especially someone this abusive. - Leave quietly. Don't tell them, you're at your highest risk when you're leaving your abusive partner. I lost a friend to her husband, who then committed suicide himself a couple of years ago and it wouldn't have been the first time he touched her. Don't wait until your family and friends are burying you. You're fearfully and wonderfully made for that!
Yess, you're absolutely right! And I also feel like going to therapy or seeing a psychologist can be a big tool. Someone who can help you stay self aware and possibly help you spot red flags in the relationship... It's probably a bit extreme, but it can be necessary, because at some point, we stop using logic when we're really into someone.

Check yourself ladies and gents. To much hateration causes high blood pressure x
I used to blame her due to my own past ignorance until I was called out on it (respectfully), I was disgusted by my past comments and I realised that this man is messed up. I believe that this was a ritual killing that went wrong and he deserves to spend his life in prison, may Karabo RIP. She did not deserve this.

You are so correct it looks like he has done this before and got away with it, this is why he was so cocky thinking it gonna be deja vu

RIP to the beautiful soul. One thing i can say ladies is ALWAYS QUESTION EVERYTHING!! A God fearing man will ask for your hand in marriage and present himself to your parents before asking you to live with him. Always remember that NOT all things that glitter are gold. When you meet someone ask A LOT OF QUESTIONS, MAKE ASSUMPTIONS.... I don't care make him made sometimes and see how he reacts...do all this before moving in with him. Even God puts HIS people to the test and also asked us to put HIM to the test.

I've read the comments and that's the Golden question "Why did she stay?"
I don't think any of us who have never been in a situation or something similar to that.
'and I hope he is not doing that to someone out there

We have failed our sisters. We don't teach our fellow young men there is no posession of another human being.
These levels of abuse are a sign of societal rot.
If we as the "good" men do nothing we are no different to people like this. Because we are letting it happen.
The Sandile's of this world are spreading and we are killing our sisters with our complicity.
How can you be 26 and so emotionally immature?

Ladies and Gents..
- listen to the energy you get around people, you don't have to wait until it turns into something.
- Someone raising their voice at you is a sign of what they are capable of. Don't wait until it turns into more.
- If they can smash your phone they will smash your face
- tell someone and protect yourself!
And I'm gonna copy and paste this somewhere else if you don't mind.
This is so true! Very wise words you shared here...I would like to note them down!
