Basically yes but the spacecraft had rudimentary controls taken into account in the sense that a person can make intentional movements around in the capsule to make it roll a little so the pilot would be back first. Perfect! So many little details were so well emulated. Always amazed of your creativity, and your Skylab is absolutely wonderful. Great completion to your series.
So beautiful. We can clearly see our improvement in rocket engineering and science! Congratulations to both superpowers, USA and USSR for achieving such goals. Back then, at our first years of space exploration, all of those amazing achievements were an impossible task! We still have years ahead of us to explore space even more. It definitely took you a lot of time for this video, but it was worth it!

BTW, three missions of R-1D at 1954 with dogs ejected in spacesuits: they're landed on parachutes, but one of each dog pairs is died, other is landed safely. First dog is ejected at 75-95 km height and parachuting from here, and then other dog is ejected when rocket falling, near 35 km height and got parachuted just at last 3 km height to land. Somehow, second dog survived more times than first one.
not even a century after the first space rocket launched and we have so much progress, we put a man on the moon half a century ago and now we're close to having a fully reusable orbital rocket.
The space race stopped with the death of Korlyev, being the man behind the r7, which is today known as soyuz. The N1 could have flown, when the mun mission wasn't done in a rush, its a mars transfer ship assembler.
Роскомнадзор phantom cosmonaut is a conspiracy theory that the USSR put a man or women into space on at least a suborbital trajectory but they did not make it back alive. Based off of transmissions intercepted in Italy and the Soviet Union had a history of covering up major things like this. Also the fact they went straight to orbital flight before suborbital. Although there js a decent amount of evidence around the theory idk if I believe it but I wouldn’t be surprised.
If you include the flights made by Dogs you will see that the USSR were substituting humans for dogs until they were ready to make a fully orbital fight.
