Mid to late 70's is when it was common to put comics in bags and it was usually 2 or more to a bag. We didn't use boards back then, so only way to keep the books stiff was to put multiple books in a bag. Also the plastic back then was thicker than today. A lot of the dealers did not put books in bags until the mid to late 70's. I remember one dealer had all his books on the shelf, lined up like library books and none of them were in bags.
I told this simpleton today $3 dollars for a hundred books would be like $45-50 dollars. Guys a silver spoon fed fxx

I've picked up several of the San Francisco books from his previous lots. I've got Zap in the third print. Those counterculture books are wonderful.

As a superhero guy, it’s interesting to see these underground comix.
I think you could practically soak the Zap book in immacuclean (from Immaculate comics) and it’ll always get a blue label. Works fairly well to at least lessen the severity of the stain.

Love the cover on the Gap Comix book
Seriously I just missed getting your recent copy of the Air Funnies 1 - picked it up at CollectorsComics after I missed my chance. I saw it on the site from the Bry’s email update and had the jump - but clicked on it and it was gone! Great book at a fair price with great pages. A great addition to whoever acquired it. Was “furious” I missed the opportunity - there is a 9.0 coming up at auction at MyComicShop and it presents nicely in photos. Might be the one for your PC - very happy with my “get” from the California gang in a 7.0. Frankly it’s a fun book to own for a discussion piece with non-collectors and collectors alike - thanks again for the videos; always insightful and interesting.

I’ve got a few of these Mexican comics called “Relatos de Presidio” (“Prison Tales”) Digest size comics from the 2000s that are printed in that brown and white washed ink, very pulpy looking. The content is NOT for kids lol!
