he had very good footing and is and an amazing fighter
красавец парень!!
The Russian fighter is amazing, rly good for a black belt, probably national level but definitely far better than the average 3rd kyu (brown belt) at least.
Was the first referee sensei roy tomlin?
It is indeed. The greatest!
Ok buddy, we hear ya !!!
Good
kid is a natural
wow!
Can't believe Shotokan has been reduced to this kind of fighting!
Do you mean as in competitive matches/tournaments shouldn't be held or do you take issue with the way they utilize specific moves and/or overall conduct? I'm not challenging your viewpoint, I genuinely would like to know which aspect you're referring to.
I can understand either view because I don't recall ever seeing a tournament in any martial art run quite this way. I was under the impression that this particular example had a lot of strikes delivered and taken that I didn't think would be allowed, but I wouldn't know for sure.
@@loneronin6813 Shotokan was/is pressure point fighting. A 3 minute match was a long fight. I don't recognize any similarities in there moves. When I fought in Japan in the 60 ties it was only between Shotokan an Shotokan. This is slow and awkward etc.
@@whitebear9699 Oh I gotcha. I don't know much about Shotokan specifically as my experience is mostly in Judo and Taekwondo alongside a bit of Hapkido. I did some Wing Chun and Taijiquan as well, but my time there in both was short-lived as I felt I had a poor Wing Chun teacher and it just wasn't for me.
As for Taijiquan I found the lack of sparring was an issue. I've been looking into taking up Shotokan because I will be moving soon and they have a school down there I plan to check out. I've been physically disabled for the past seven or eight years now and I've recently gotten to a point where I feel I can take up a martial art again and I hope to teach one day, but time will tell.

Sounds like your heart is in the right place. Hope your handicap is healed! I don't know of any real shotokan instructors in the USA only Japan. You would probley injoy it. Lots of sparing and naming of the body through practice etc.
@@whitebear9699 Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to respond to my comments and for our conversation. I look forward to beginning my training anew and I wish you all the best in every aspect of your life. :)
White has tremendous skill.
Not keikoku. Was a clean wazari
This is a poor advert for the sport.
Nice eye poke...
If I was a judge I wouldn't award a single point any time he did one of his ridiculous yells.
very very low level
of refereeing, a lot of refereeing mistakes!
I got the same feeling on that one, but I wasn't sure if there was just a different rule set in place or not. I'm just glad to know that I wasn't off-base in regards to that observation.
I wouldn't know for sure because the only time I've ever used my training outside of practice and in-class sparring has been in self defense and as a result I'm not familiar with a tournament setting.
