People's response and attitude to us can at times be really discouraging, but we shouldn't give up. Let's continue to do the right thing just like our Lord Jesus. Those of us who have at one time or the other committed contempt, that is, looked on things of the sacred or looked down on our fellow human beings should begin now to ask for pardon. God's justice does not want us to continue to spite Him or our fellow human beings. God's mercy awaits us. Let's ask him for it with a contrite heart.
