Again another lovely landscape. I did give it a go on canvas that was pre-treated with gesso I think you really do need raw canvas for this type of art because mine certainly didn’t turn out but at least I still have canvas to paint on lol I love all your paintings

Raw canvas has little textured cotton fibres and when you use clear gesso it has a course texture to the gesso, because the gesso is completely transparent that is what you are referring to. It’s not the paint but the raw canvas might make the paint look like that on film. Painting on raw canvas is an absolutely beautiful canvas to paint on, also with the clear gesso it is a beautiful base to use oil pastel or watercolour pencil on. I hope this helps. Clear gesso will help the tape stick.... Transparent layers are definitely your style. Another excellent piece just on the right side of abstract
