as a man who played Banjo-Kazooie pretty obsessively as a kid, this is screwing with my head something fierce but it's also a **really** interesting way to compare the two games, both on the same system but with massive leaps made in just the couple of years difference between their releases first thing I noticed is the music, I'm guessing the midi samples the two have are different but also the really complex layering stuff BK did where different parts of the music morphs to fit the different areas is completely absent, which honestly is just a given, that would be insanely complex to add in and I'm not sure the way Mario did it is even compatible with BK's music? I was also surprised some of the music dropped for the Jinjo voice sample/music jingle, I'm guessing the mix already used up all the music channels? BK's event triggers and cutscenes are, understandably, a lot more advanced and varied than Mario's static shots with text boxes, though I like that, when you couldn't teleport the gold croc, you added an animation of him walking up the hill Mario entering the skull hut is just a warp transition when it would have been an animation in BK, but I do know Mario had animated transitions, too, so it's probably just for the convenience of not having to create a custom animation of Mario walking into the skull hut the scene of Mumbo transforming BK was a whole *thing* in that game, with dramatic lighting changes, particle effects, voice lines and some fun animation, so having Mario just pop into a Bow Wow was kinda jarring, though I can't imagine it was easy at all and is probably the most impressive part of this conversion, at least from a gameplay perspective well, no, okay, the minigame being taken over from BK is easily way more impressive, even though it's missing the animation of eating the fruits and thus is way easier, but adding all those 3D elements, that have to animate on their own, and then linking them to a points system for a minigame that *doesn't exist in Mario 64* is really damn impressive, and then add on the AI coding for Mr. Vile on top of that, and having *that* work together with the rest is just... I don't imagine any of that code from BK could have been used, right? Right? just a really impressive job all around, kudos

Because I know making mods, custom level and script must take so much time since it's been one years or two that you have working on Super Mario 64 x Banjo-Kazooie so maybe, for help us to wait more, that you can release a demo please? I wonder if Gruntilda will comeback as main antagonist with Peach captured? I can almost see the Grunty's Furnace Fun game recreated with Gruntilda flee away when we reach her and we can go talk to Peach who ask to us to kick Grunty's ass or pursuit Gruntilda to the top of the lair ^^ And maybe a cutscene appear when we enter first time in Grunty's Lair about Peach into Beauty Steal Machine and maybe a Game Over scene if we saved and quit the game ^^

Well can I apply the splitscreen multiplayer patch to one of your rom hacks and play that rom hack in multiplayer? nah i just forced widescreen in the graphic plugin settings. most n64 graphic plugins can do this.
