She is wasted standing at the top of the key setting pics. If she can become a consistent inside offensive threat it would be a BIG problem for opposing defenses.
Averaging 13 points in quarters 2-4 is not going to take you very far!!!!! The Huskies must find a third CONSISTENT scorer to be considered a contender for the national championship!! I’d like to see Geno tweak this offense to plant Jana in the low post where I believe she can dominate. Yes, she’s still got a lot to learn, but she has significant international experience. She’s tall, wide, strong, and has shown some great touch around the basket…..not always….but enough to start with!!! This will also help the team address their rebounding challenges, particularly offensive rebounds that are golden!!!! Huskies also must hold their screens longer to make them effective!!! Too often the screener is rolling before the ball handler can make use of the screen!!!
Interesting that today I heard some pundit say that Ice couldn't pass. I think that she would be better if she got the green light for her midrange, that would kill opponents, especially with big's, because they would have to come out to guard her freeing up Sarah and others under the bucket.
She isn’t shooting with any confidence. Neither big is playing freely or shooting well right now. Neither is a threat offensively. They have 50 days to turn the corner. Odds are, by end of Feb both are coming off the bench and AG is starting.
I get it, pretty difficult subbing in when you have so many quality players, having said that, passing and play pretty sloppy, getting late in the season to be "undecided" about so much. Who is your center (even by committee), who should get minutes, Samuels, Celli,Zeibell, Who? The ones who know they are getting their minutes, need to know who they are getting minutes with. Looking forward to Aubrey complicating the lineup, but I would be playing Qadence Brady, Bueckers, KK, and Strong, subbing first Chen, then Shade, followed by Al Elfy, and Celli.
I'd really like it if UConn could play all four quarters of a game. The second half was simply ridiculous. Paige had 14 in the first quarter (more than a fifth of the 67 the Huskies scored), then averaged three/quarter the rest of the way. The team should have won by >40 and Paige should have had >30. Maybe I'll moderate my thoughts once I get to watch the whole game, but the box score didn't make me overjoyed and I'll bet Geno's thoughts were even more negative.

They are a team with absolute no post threat. If the 3s aren't falling, they are not a very impressive team........as witnessed by their 0 and 2 record against legitimate competition. Their inability to recruit a dominant "big" for a 4 year cycle since Stewie spells another year with little to no chance to win a chip. I don't care how many guards and wings you have, you aren't beating real teams with zero post play on both ends of the floor. Period......
It was a lopsided game because Purdue is really a weak team. Common guys, Uconn cannot take stronger teams such as USC, Notre Dame, SC, the undefeated UCLA Bruins, Texas, LSU, Maryland, TCU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, etc. Purdie is a very weak team it is at the bottom of the league so it is just normal that Uconn will defeat the team. Funny....
Comment credibility = zero…(hint, they didn’t play Purdue…). Time will tell who they can beat, but with a healthy team I like them against any of the teams you listed.

UCONN has two centers, none of them works. When the other team played tough zone defense, UCONN had hard time.
