    Would be nice to see a comparison of the Pyrahna Ozone and the Dagger Supernova

      Haha you beat me to it. I was going to ask the same. Pyranha Ozone Medium and Large. The Ozone Large is humongus where I feel my knees are behind me ears, but I'm sadly too heavy for the medium and probably the supernova too

      Yes I have one coming on that one also 😂

      Love the Ozone small for throwing around on easier rivers. It’s such a comfortable boat as well. It seems like the Nova will be its main competitor. Thanks again Wade. It was nice to meet you after my Ocoee PFD. Hope your wavesport full slice run was a good one.

    can we please get a comparison between the Nova and the Ozone?? The Ozone seems to be the most modern full slice on the market right now, I'm curious to see how the new Nova compares.

    Thx, the video pretty much confirmed my thoughts on both. I actually just bought a home slice as the earliest I can get a supernova in BC is December and also the 500 dollar difference in price is an important factor…

    I’m probably a bit late on this, but what’s your opinion on the amount of rocker between the homeslice and supernova? Looking to get a full slice this year and I’ve only demoed the homeslice so far. I liked the boat and was quite comfortable in it, but man it has so much rocker, at least for me. It felt like it wanted to roll over constantly, even paddling through flatwater. So I’m curious as to what you think of the rocker between these 2 boats.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      supernova has the perfect amount of bow rocker for me

    I'd like more info on the blocks your buddy added to his home slice under the thigh braces. I'm paddling one now while I wait for my super nova to arrive and would like to try that mod.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just glue blocks of foam to support the knees

  • @huntergipson3447
    @huntergipson3447 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Those knee blocks would be helpful the HSlice is very loose in that area. I’ve seen guys do that in Pyranhas as well. When I sat in the SuperNova it fit a lot better didn’t really need anything extra was tighter around the legs but comfortable / not overbearing

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, with those big pockets probably good idea to have them

    I am 200 ish lbs right now. I paddle the homeslice a little forward to balance the effort it takes to initiate the bow versus the stern. The Super Nova is perfect in the center . . . the bow goes down with little effort. So I do like that balance. Both are good boats, but those little differences contribute to a pretty different user experience. I balance on bow stalls a little easier in the Super Nova than in the Homeslice. The roominess for the biggest guys, however, gets a nod to the Homeslice. All day comfort. The Super Nova is comfy too, but Homeslice has a little edge there I think and I believe it is the knee area as you noted.

    This was the comparison I wanted to see. I can flat water cartwheel my Homeslice no problem. The Homeslice bow needs more rocker, it seems to dive while paddling. I had to move the seat back about an inch to help with this. I would like to see the Nova and mixmaster 7.5 comparison. I feel like they would be closer than the super Nova.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It dives because it’s narrow up there it did that same thing when I paddled it I have a mix master compare coming

      @@WadeHarrison Freak that's small, I've been thinking about updating from my EZG50, but that's even smaller than what I got. At 160 lbs, seems like I can go small or medium on most boats, but that seems like a tight fit at 46 gal

    I paddle a homeslice I love it ,but the bow imitation is pretty tough compared to some other full slices I have been in I think he is right it is for people 170 and up but if you fit that weight range it is easy to throw around thank you for the comparison!

I've paddled a full slice or other play boats at pool session or local man made whitewater course the East Race in South Bend, IN. So I'll be learning to play boat with this boat. This really the first boat with hard edges. I paddle a 1997 RPM and LL Alpha 90. I'm Class 3- 4+ not got onto any class 5 yet.

      @paddlepaddlepaddle8147 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WadeHarrison Lots of issues with Axioms back in 2018, the original boat and each of the replacements were severely twisted from bow to stern, warped cockpits and thigh braces, alongside oil canned hulls, and a greasy texture to the soft discoloured plastic.
      Palm Europe who are licensed to manufacture the boats treated me very badly and originally refused to offer replacements or a refund...I had to fight them to try get a boat fit for purpose. In the end I never received one acceptable boat. Their attitude towards quality management, manufacturing processes, and customer service was disgusting!
      Palm manufacture boats unfit for purpose and in my view as a Mechanical Engineer, dangerous to paddle. Thankfully the boat was purchased through White Water The Canoe Centre, Shepperton who eventually had to step in and refund me.
      It's a shame that the dealers are having to pick up on these problems that Palm create, quite possibly leaving them out of pocket?
      Very disappointed with Dagger/Palm, won't be going near them ever again. I think I mentioned this to you previously on one of your other videos. May have been the Rewind review. You mentioned the U.S boats are and seem good quality. Would you happen to know how much involvement Dagger U.S has with Palm Europe? Do they monitor what's being manufactured, or do they just let Palm get on with it?
      Dagger designs are great but sadly the quality and customer service here is really bad👎
