Ohhhhh my goodness, the patchwork quilt!!! In 1974, I used the same material to make a maxi dress with ruffles on the shoulders. I was a Senior in high school and it was my home economics project. I even wore it in my Senior picture.
Yvonne, You look soo much more rested! Sooo very proud you're doing better!❤ Loving youins haul! Sooo many goodies! The green Cookbook has my name all over it! LOL! I absolutely adore the 12:07 ! My oldest one is the ' Boston Cooking School ' cookbook...1922.I've kept them on display in my kitchen for years! Wow! The quilt! I remember well that pattern and mothers and young girls sewing skirts, sun dresses, with that design! And its a " Tacked" quilt! You just don't seem to see very many if that type anymore. We tacked quilts when we either didn't have enough time ir thread to do an actual " quilting"... we used whatever yarn we had on hand to "tack" the top, cotton batting" and bottom together. This truly brings back such wonderfully. happy tearful memories with loved ones already passed.❤❤ Precious Memories indeed! Thank you!❤ So proud you scored some great looking butter pats! The vintage cannister set does most definitely have alot of storge days left, I think it's awesome! Great deal on the Shepherds hook! Criminently!!The old Wash Tub is just fantastic and to still have the lid with it is great! I do sooo hope youins keep this ..Yvonne..I know with your vision and unique creativitness it will be an absolute star in your outside decor! ❤ Cool old Cash Register. I love the little reminder for the cashiers.." Money must be registered before Goods are wrapped" 😊 Thank youins soo much for taking us to the Auction with youins! We do appreciate it and appreciate youins sharing your hauls, thoughts and tips with us! Last but certainly not least.. love the Vice/ anvil! Indeed an awesome acquisition! Continued prayers for youins , God Bless. ❤❤🙏🙏
Wow! Lots of awesomeness there! My sister and I each had a brown glass owl bank when we were kids, like the one with the pins in it that you showed. I remember having to use a butter knife and shaking it upside down to get my coins out! 😅 The quilt was a great find and price. I have yet to find any butter pats so I’m loving that score you got!
It’s always interesting to watch what’s at the auction n then see what you n Chris brought home. That quilt brought back some wonderful memories for me. My grandmother had one. Don’t remember if she made it or it was given to her. You definitely got a great deal for it. Usually quilts can go up to &300.00 dollars or more. Living in Sarasota Florida we have a lot of Amish n Mennonites living here n some come for the winter. They make beautiful quilts n sell them but there not cheap. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟🐈⬛🐈⬛
The quilt!!! I love it. I like to make quilts, not fancy ones, ones that are called utility quilts. They are meant to be used and loved. I knew as soon as I saw the pie safe, I knew you would try your best to get it.
*Yvonne, I was given that Set in the Friendship pattern as a Wedding Gift in 1973, and the rectangular piece did NOT come with a lid. Only the 3 round casserole dishes came with lids.😊*
My Poppa made my 4 girl cousins and me each a rocking horse. Mine is the only one left, it still has the label he made that says to Marlie love Poppa. I'm 61 and he made them when I was 2. ❤
O my those canisters with green tops. One of our vendors has those in their booth but with lemon yellow tops. 😂. Love your channel and all the wonderful things you do. Tyfs ♥️
You must have cornered the market on ironstone butter pats! In all my 35 years of being an antique dealer I have never found ANY. Any kind of ironstone is hard to find here in California.
I’m in Michigan, too about 45 minutes from Gingerchick and have found about 13 butter pats that I’m pretty sure are iron stone, four of them have a gorgeous, green pattern on them!💕💕💕 Of course, she’s the reason, I started collecting them!😂😂😂
I got an old cash register before Chris took your previous one apart on an episode ….little disappointed as it was a wheeled number cylinder like the one you just picked up…..so now I’ll wait to see what you do with yours before I tackle mine!!! Always learning something new from you two!❤
@@GingerChickRehabTheJourney *You were not the only one SWOONING over that Pie Safe. Do you recall how much it sold for at the auction? Really curious, because it's been a LONG TIME since I have seen a Pie Safe like that one sold at an auction. 🤔❤*
Awesome video. Im a new subscriber, but you have inspired me to go back to our antique shops. I'm in the lookout for a dough bowl and some fairy lights. I want to try some auctions soon too. ❤❤ Love your videos!
I love the butterflies, and you were right, they would be wonderful on shelf or anywhere. I love glass pieces. That dark red swung vase is gorgeous. Now that quilt! $50 😮, that was a shock. Have a fantastic week and see you in the next one. 😊❤
New subscriber to both channels, love your content. I bid against you at this auction, and was at auctions 2 and 3 at the Adrian house! I'll say hello the next auction we're both at. Its fun to find someone to watch who enjoys the same type of items you do. Again, love your videos
I spy that red glass and crystal goblet looking pieces..I got the mugs and the small coffee cups or tea lol and saucers..my sister bought them years ago for my mom then my mom passed them to me..sad to hear they are selling..maybe in the future they will become popular again ❤🎉
The quilt is beautiful I’m so happy you got it I make patch quilts. I’ve made two for my granddaughters and both my sons. I’ve made them one each you and Chris did great at the auction I love it when you take us along thank you for sharing ❤😊
I love, love, love everything you got! Fantastic haul. :) Chris, I have never seen vice and anvil together. It looks so heavy. So happy for you guys. Chickie, love to hear your laugh and feeling better. God Bless, Hugs, Rebekah

My Daddy adored avocado green . He had a truck, we had a couch, and our kitchen set had flowered chairs in that color too! Then when I married what came with me as a hand me down but that darned hide a bed couch!!!!!
I love birdbaths but the stagnant water attracts mosquitoes 18:27 that’s pretty 19:11 my grandmothers quilted & oh my the work that goes into a handmade quilt. ❤
Good evening Yvonne ❤ question if you don't mind .... I have this huge glass jar like the old planters peanut jar that the lid broke and I hzve no idea whst to do with it and I don't want to throw it away . Help !!!!
Un lidded jars are fun to put collection in.. like butter pats… small creamers.. marbles… wooden bobbins. I’m not sure your one’s exact size. But that’s what I’d do with it.. it still would make a great display piece. Being clear you can see what’s inside.
Question: I'm much like you in that I also 'hoard' for reselling, upcycling, and crafting. It takes time to hunt things down and source; so when you moved, did you take everything with you or did you sell it off and start over? (So glad you are looking great and are on the mend!)
So I found out yesterday that there was an incredible estate sale and found out too late. Ugh. How do you know when estate sales are going on? I'm so sad about it😂. Next time I want to be prepared to spend some money 💰

The mushroom pitcher and cups set is so cool! Sometimes I hear that shape of a pot referred to as a hot chocolate pot. Love the butter pats, too!

It’s so fun. Such a fun pattern.
All the things! When you showed the wagon at the beginning I noticed the quilt inside. I had one in the late 60's. So fun to see.
