    Thanks for this story JT, hope all is good in Honolulu after the quake, we had some crazy waves out here but it was low tide so we only lost a few dozen boats and one dumbass who wanted to take pictures during the tsunami. You are in the very middle of the pacific plate, in a hot zone (aka volcanic plume) so as the plate moves north west, a chain of islands follows, however, you are still subject to those nasty waves, godspeed.

    Question: Are the handle pins on the Spyderco Warrior removable? I was thinking it would be cool to have some custom G-10 scales made for one but I'm not sure if the FRN slabs are removable.

    You probably know about this already , Brent Sandow Cobra Fighting Knife is a fine derivative of this warrior style. White Shadow Dojo in NY is where I saw it in an article called "Our Cobra". looked an interesting and possible edc version.

    Good vid--I bought the Spyderco Warrior and read the great book that was included--It was great bit of knife history.
