Throwin' Shapes is an especially meaningful song to me. It reminds of me of a particular time of my life which includes a particular girl. It's just one of those things. While nothing significant ever developed and she's forever part of my past, I'll never really forget her.
This song is so good I shared it once and then clicked to share it again 45 seconds later until I realized 😂. ❤️ many thanks to the old friend who showed me this band.
the talent these guys have still amazes me. Hearing their music never fails to put me in a good mood no matter how bad i feel. Much love and respect to you Minus the Bear and all other fans good job on recognizing good music!
Damn, I miss you guys. Been listening to all your records lately. Insane to think this was 16 years ago. WTF?! I've been there since '01. We all grew old together. Your shows were always my favorite. Hope you all are doing well and are happy.
This is my new favorite band... i dunno why.. its not the usual stuff i listen too.. i guess its because the music is well written... something most bands don't know how to do anymore
Minus the Bear is Great at Capturing the essence of some of the best relationships in our lives, with subtle progressive tones and breakdowns giving that excitement (the up) and the chaos (the downs) that our found in unforgettable relationships.
Dave Knudson should do more solos because he's really good . He's one of my top guitar influences. Some of his solos should be free form using every different effect he has. It would be crazy epic like the psychedelic stuff of the 60s and 70s.
i know i have better things to do, but i just want to sit here and listen to this song over and over and over and over and over and over and over.....and then do it all over again.
I love this song so much, but you guys freakin' NAILED it on the music video... the concept is so ridiculously fun and stupid, and yet the amazingly romantic videography really takes it away from being Napoleon Dynamiteesqe and turns into something so different from what we expect.
This video reminds me of the show spaced, which is a very good thing. Its also a serious, mature album and this is the lightest fun sounding song on there. It deserve a great hilarious video to go with it.
Jesus, I've personally been to absolutely everywhere this was filmed. Even the roof of the building at the end, it's on 2nd and Cherry. I've lived in Seattle for too long.
I wish i could meet more people that were as in love with Minus the Bear as myself. Amazing.
This makes me happy. And it's 12 years old already. FML time flies
