  • The Golden State Warriors are 1 win away from reaching the NBA Finals again for the first time since 2019 after taking a 3-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks. In this video, I go over the dominance the Warriors have displayed all playoffs, and why this is only going to continue in the NBA Finals and potentially for many years beyond this one.

    What’s scary is, the Mavs were up at some point during games 2 & 3 but it didn’t feel like the Warriors were gonna lose in both games. It literally felt like they were on cruise control and had everything in control. It feels like at any point in a game they can beat you and you won’t be able to catch-up.

    I think the scariest thing is that they're not even dominating through 3-pt shooting. They're sweeping the Mavs by outscoring them *in the paint*. Seriously, dwell on that for just a second: The absolutely most dominant 3-pt shooting team is overwhelming their competition without needing to rely on 3's. This is some "I'm secretly left-handed" ridiculousness.

    • @gideondavid30
      @gideondavid30 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As Draymond said, they are taking what the defense is giving them. 3 is greater than 2 but you make more shots the closer you are to the basket. Defenses have to respect their 3 point shooting capability, so it opens up the court for easy layups.

      Fr and there such a small team and somehow all playoffs they out rebounding every team so it becomes harder for the other coach’s to go with bigs or small lineup but it don’t even matter! Warriors have yet played there best game that’s the scary part! Cause Steph and Klay been off and they’re still winning

      That's what I am saying. Warriors are so dynamic and flexible that doesn't really matter what you try to do to stop them. If you take away the 3 you will be brutalized all day by layups. If you go big, they can still compete with you on rebounds and have the best shooters on the perimeter.
      It ain't just Steph and Klay though. Wiggins and Poole can also score at will.
      All of their players can defend well too. Portis and Looney will compete on them boards.

      Like I said, injuries is the only thing that will stop the Warriors. If they can keep their core groups of guys, they are unbeatable.

    When steph said "You don't wanna see us next year", a lot of folks laughed and literally every media outlet indicated not too long ago that luka was better than him and that the mavericks were a better team than the warriors after beating them a few times in the regular season , they also said during all star break that the warriors only had a 10% chance of making it to the NBA FINALS putting them at the very bottom of the list 😭 yeah I'm positively sure that they took all of that personally now people saying the dubs are a "super team" with drafted and left for dead players that nobody else wanted 🤦🏿‍♂️ face it the mavericks are too slow for the warriors style of play , they're like technology they're literally years ahead of everybody and everything that gets in their way.......I love it warriors in 4

    Dallas beat GS 3 of 4, too.
    3 teams that GS went a combined 3-9 against this year during the regular season. So far in the playoffs the Ws have gone 11-3 against these same 3 teams. That's quite a turnaround.

    Let's face it - reality - Golden State hasn't really beaten anyone in the playoffs yet. Yes, there have been teams that challenged them, but none have the talent on starting lineup like either Boston or Miami. I love Golden State, but this team has not shown anything special against the Mavericks who have exactly one competent, showboating player who refuses to notice he has other teammates. And the rest of the team is inconsistent or untalented. Sometimes the other players wake up and make a basket. While I am pulling for Golden State and am a Curry fan, I cannot conclude this team is back. Let's see them hang 3-0 on Boston or Miami and then we can base praise on something of substance.

      First of all the Celtics nor Heat are not better at all than the Warriors on defense. That’s insanely ignorant and you clearly never watched the Warriors in these playoffs. If anything it’s very close, all y’all think GS do is just run to the corner and shoot 3s, when we’ve always been a top rated 3 defensive in all of our title years.

    They are far from elite team. They have won three championships, three, if Curry is so awesome, he'd have more. This year they look really good. Let's put it in perspective, Micheal Jordan won six championships in the time it has taken Curry to get three. Teams, the Celtics in the Bill Russell era had 11 championships in 13 years. The Celtics in 1986 lost one game at home,40-1, lost one game in the playoffs. Goldenstate will NEVER come close to those records.

      Yes, this season is the beginning of what will come in the next few years, because we consider well that the veterans (Curry, Klay, Dray) will be at least 4 or 5 years, enough time to gain experience and develop more so that the young adults (Looney, Wiggins, GP2, Otto, JTA) and the youngest (Poole, Kuminga, Moody and Wiseman) and can enhance their skills in any individual aspect and teamwork (which is the most important and essential), they really will be a team to fear. Also humility and respect, but that is already a culture within the team's organization
