- When my foots on the throttle there's no looking back
I leave the motor tickin' over when she's back on the track
I've got a 68 Chevy with pipes on the side
You know she's my idea of beauty, that's what I drive
She's got wheels, wheels of steel
She's got wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
Talking 'bout my wheels of steel
I don't take no jibe from the motorway pigs
When I'm crusin' down the freeway I don't get no lifts
If you see me coming get out of my way
You know a Trans Am didn't, I blew it away
She's got wheels, wheels of steel
She's got wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
My my my my wheels of steel
I'm burnin' aviation fuel my foot's to the floor
Ya know she's crusin one-forty she'd do even more
I'm burnin' solid rubber I don't take no bull
'Cause my wheels of steel are rolling
They're rolling your way
She's got wheels, wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
My my my wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
Talking 'bout my wheels of steel
Look out, uh
I'm burnin' aviation fuel my foot's to the floor
Ya know she's crusin' one- forty she'd do even more
I'm burnin' solid rubber I don't take no bull (shit)
'Cause my wheels of steel are rolling
If you're comin' come quick
She's got wheels, wheels of steel
She's got wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
My my my wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
Talking 'bout my wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
Wheels of steel
My my wheels of steel

From which movie ist the beginning scene with the light blue Corvette convertible? Asks a Corvette - fan from Germany...
Muscle cars + Rock n roll = 1000%Testosterone🥃
And happiness. Sure
A Corvette is not a muscle car, but that doesn't invalidate your point.
@@visekual6248 That's right, thanks
Riding free smelling the octane fuel is the best sensation in the world.
The C3 is the only car that'll make you feel like a rock star or an astronaut.
For me the C3 70, 71, and 72. They had the wide body, front/ rear chrome bumpers, and still had good HP. Should have never sold my '72 LT1.
@@jonwoodworker the 350 with the solid lifter cams that actually performed like a 327
@@kavinskysmith4094 I don't understand your reference to the LT1 350 performing like a 327, your statement doesn't make any since. You do know why solid lifters were used, right? Maybe you don't understand what the intended purpose was. The LT1 was built for CanAm racing where engines needed to make power high in the rev range. So, making far more HP than a 327. The LT1 is certainly no torque monster and mine would barely spin the tires until 3000rpms, after that it was a beast...for the era, for its purpose.
@@jonwoodworker the 327 actually has its power up in the rev range like you describe, and actually revs up to about 6,200
I dont know about horsepower but, I would say the figures are off knowing GM and how they operated back then
like get behind the wheel of a 68 with a 327, I bet you its gonna have quite abit more horsepower than you think
and perform pretty close without a solid lifter cam in it
heck its the motor that the corvette made its name with given its just a bigger version of the 263/283 series that performed far more like a 396 than a 350
and the 350 just wasnt that good and was ment far more for fleet usage, than performance
and would throw rods when you pushed it too hard, the 327 however, bored out to 377 CI and some race gas
and it was putting out a true blue 400 plus horsepower and racing with the cobra's
like if you want the old days back, go and find something with that motor, or the motor itself and put it in a late 70's car for dimes on the dollar
and I think you'll be plesantly surprised at the result
hell its what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna buy a 78, dump the shitbox motor and put the proper king of the road where it belongs.
The C2 is the best, a piece of art along with a big block makes every hot rodder/gearhead dream about it
Im old enough to have seen them on the wheels of steel tour in 1983 opening for Iron Maiden great music
Рок'н'ролл вспоминать нет необходимости. Он ВСЕГДА рядом.
Loved listening to this song on Liberty Rock Radio while playing The Lost and Damned.
TLAD the best DLC in gta universe

I love TLAD so much
@@StreetPunk161agree
I loved listening to this song in highschool, after school and whenever...I Old man class of 86
0:09 Texas 1974, and its a 1969 Corvette with the two year only side gills, a tri power 427 that needed that Cowl hood to fit, and has the door for the windshield wipers removed, which was a one year option in 68
go figure, wonder if the vehicle director got the things mixed up and put the wrong plate on it by mistake, or they were able to get a 68/69 instead, as the 74 would have the fiberglass front and rear ends with the color coded bumpers and the split backside
at which point I cant say I blame him, as in 74 the only one worth a damn was the 454, which zora antov duntov, actually took with him as his retirement present
a 74/75 convertible, last year they made it, with a 454 under the hood that he kept well into the 80's
and should look like the one at 2:35, a 76, just with a split backside and a different badge on the front, and its amazing how many small changes can make a C3 look so different in a very small time span
All c3’s are great cars. Same frame chassis RWD V8. To say one years is bad due to hp or whatever is dumb.
@@dukeallen432 Not when the frame is missing a key X frame that basically sabotaged the cars central integrity, and you go from 230 horsepower to barely 165 in 76, the same as an old station wagon, and a ferrari 308 beats you in every way imaginable thanks to the fact that the only way the car comes
is with a 3 speed auto if your lucky, which was done to boost the gas fleet average across the range, hence why early 82 firebirds are so poor in this department,
and that's the "Slow" Ferrari, granted that did switch around when the power was put back in around 87/88 and they started putting some money in the old girl, although they still had that hackne'd 4 + 3 that would skip gears
which they still used all the way up until about 5 or 10 years ago on that Holden BMW M5 clone they sold here as the Chevy SS
and that came with with rack and pinon steering, vs Circulating ball, and a 4 link rear suspension that can actually handle 16 inch 225 to 275 size tires without breaking the diff
actually it was probably closer to 130 hp now that I think of it, hence why the first thing you do with one of these, is you call a wielder
to rewield the cracked wields from the cowl shake, around where the engine mounts are
and around the back after pounding on the frame with a hammer to see where its rotted out thanks to the side pipe holes they left in from the C2 where water likes to pool in the key frame rails
which can look absolutely fine as the body is holding the car together, until you wack it and find theirs nothing there just like an old land rover, something that has actually happened to a C2 that went in for resto
it came in, they took the body off, and hey Presto, its the James Bond Car from the last film with Roger moore
and that is not a joke, it literally did that.
and you drop the 350 and put an LS3 in it so its not plowing like a cow, or a proper crate with a proper motor, and a proper carb, that can actually do three hundred horses at the wheel
instead of barely 220, and then have to redo everything else on the car, because it wasnt designed for it
oh and that frame rail problem is prevalent across the range, its shown up on a 68 and an 81, one of which collapsed the wheel when the guy went over a speed bump with it
all thanks to poor wielding, a removed X brace, and some idiot not plugging the side pipe holes for over 15 years on a fiberglass tub sitting on a steel frame that is not very well suited to good handling
which is why detomaso's are taking off now that people know how to fix the oil problems and get them running right now, given the engines in backwards, and they were basically Ford GT40's from italy
and are giving even modern ferrari's a run for their money
hence why the best thing to do with one of these, is to buy early and restored and treat it like a muscle car, and dont take it on your local backroads
or the leaf springs going to snap back and throw you into the weeds
as the wonderful engineers at GM when they coppied the Jaguar's IRS, failed to note and understand, why just why, they used springs instead of truck springs on the back of the car for their half shaft axel design
that even shares the same problem this does, where if you put too much tire on it, it flat out breaks the diff, AND THE axel
hence the 4 link overhaul in the 80's, something jag even did themselves not too long after
although then they linked the two front wheels with ANOTHER leaf spring, and ruined that too, which is why despite all the overhauls'
the corvette was never considered a world class car until the C7 when they finally got away from their love of leaf springs, and actually sprung the damn thing right for once
as it is what it is, a Muscle car with two flags on the front, that when the mid 70's hit, lost even that
and you were better off asking Jim Rockford for a ride instead, hence why the firebird formula 400 became the car to have instead of one of these
especially given they used all the same engine block so it was easy to bore out the motor and get a true blue 455 horses out of any of those cars vs one of these
something the corvette guys could only dream of unless they bought the 454 before they discontinued it in 1974/75 ish
or salvaged one of them from of all things a blue bird school bus,
kinda like the motorhomes and the 440's, and ford with the 460's you could find in stuff like that
as no two corvettes are created equal, and trust me when people dont have that power to make these things haul
they usually hate them, as the lightness thanks to the steel frame just isnt there to make them fun without it
Рок , авто ,скорость FOREVER!!!
That's music to my ears...a feast for the eyes...yeah man...😊
Iron Maiden, Saxon with Fastway opening. It was 1983 at the El Paso county coliseum.
I was there. Saxon was the loudest band I ever heard. I was on the rail ! My right ear felt like it was up agaisnt a wall for a couple of days after...
POV: you watch an Thergothon1 edit and, all of a sudden, you feel, suddenly, your car keys in your pocket
The Stingray is my one true love!
Another great video man!
Это жизнь!😊
every video masterpiece! you are best!
the last point of the good old world on the internet
Cool! People were blown away by my black C 3-Corvette in the late eighties among all the normal small cars here in Germany...
I was seriously about to go do an oil change on my car. It's outside up on stands as I type this. God damn I'm definitely motivated now!

I would love it if he put the list of films used in the description.
They're now in the first pinned comment
The corvette is my favorite car, so this video is a real treat. Thanks.
The older Corvettes are the coolest cars in existence. What I wouldn't do for a C4 Callaway
Bro im begging you!! Please use RADAR LOVE by Golden Earring in a video!!! Smokey and the bandit. Or Vanishing Point!
He's definitely done Vanishing Point. I think it featured heavily in Metal Thrashing Mad.

GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS.🔥 I would love to see "Motorcycle Man" it would be amazing!
I made a vid for this song featuring a slideshow of period correct modified 68 Chevy's and YT has showed it to almost nobody over the years LoL. I used the sound of my 68 Roadrunner with a huge cam and no mufflers to spice it up in the beginning too.
Brutal hermano💪🍀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What is the movie?
🔥🔥🤘🔥🔥
Oh wow you are still active! I randomly recall I always watched your videos when drunk some years back - good times^^
Always great choice of music and movies and supreme editing! They don't make music - or movies - or cars like that anymore^^
Keep rocking!
great work, as always

You finally made it man. I finally subscribed. Keep these badass Classic Rock Tracks coming🤘🏻
Nice video! Saxon always rocks. I wanna drive a Corvette with a manual gearbox before I die.
I think at 1:39 he lost control of the slide, but they cut at the moment. :)
More like feel the splitters in the fiberglass 😂😂😂😂
ЭТО ДРАЙВ И ПОЛНОЕ ОЩУЩЕНИЕ СВОБОДЫ!
My stepdad used to have a 1974 sea blue stingray, similar to the color of the first one.

Also "T.C." from Almafuerte (about Argentina national racing)
This song has been a mint in many films and caused so many crashes and police chases on grand theft auto iv 😂❤

Thats a greenwood build
Where is this Corvette culture?
You're half a century late.
We exist in super small facets anymore. I’ve a 69 and a pretty rowdy blown 03. I don’t even know anyone else my age rocking a c3. I think I was 36 or so when I drug it home.
Interrupting the music for a moment to let us hear the engine?
Please keep updating. I really like it.. It feels very good
Saxon has always been cool. But they shouldn't have used a bunch of fiberglass cars for this tune. Lol
