What an awfully sad story, and to know that it was true makes it even worse. It just leaves an emptiness. Well done to everybody involved in the making of it.
I am addicted to gay movies these last couple of months. And I am not gay, I have a wife and I have kids with her. I watch non-gay movies too, especially those starring Whoopi Goldberg, Eddie Murphy, Meryl Streep, Robert de Niro, for examples, but these days I watch gay movies too, after discovering how touching these gay movies are. I have nothing against, I have friends who are gays, I am a Muslim from Malaysia.
Hi there. To be honest with you, being gay is much liberated and enjoyable than be straight. I was heterosexual married and hv 6children. But marriage lasted for 26yrs. I divorced and now become 100% gayman. I love gay life with lots of varieties in life. I discovered that there are so many many married husband are gay in Malaysia.
@@hazreeaznil8979 Wow! This is so interesting coming from a Malaysian Muslim married man with 6 kids n married for 26 yrs (I assume your are Muslim, from your name, that you used to be married). How do your ex-wife n children take to it now that you are gay? Whatever, I wish the best and happiness in life to you, I do believe one must do what one is happy.
Thanks for posting a heartwarming story. The story captured my heart Mr Erik you deserve the best in life God bless you. Stay safe world from medical campus. ✌❤
I’ve been through this platonic dating with an older guy. I was 20 his was 40. But he was the first guy I’ve dated that actually genuinely was interested & making time for us. He was a lawyer & successful business man but money couldn’t find him love. We met unexpectedly during one of my visits to Finland. We met a book store while I was browsing through to purchase few books. That’s how we met
Money truly can’t buy love, dinner yes, love no. I, 55 am in a relationship with a young man who is 29z He means the world to me, understands me and I love him. Age doesn’t matter to him but I am aware of the age difference. We talk about it in depth because it’s important for both of us to understand how it affects us now and will in the future. The reality of it is, neither one of us cares about what others think, we are in love and it’s amazing.
To Eric: If you're reading this, I want you to know that everything happens for a reason. Be strong, I understand that what you're going through is so hard and is swallowing you. Hold on, it will pass. Martin wants you to move on, to be happy and to love again.
A lot of gay men put themselves into this type of situation. Savior Complex. Eric has a complusion to save Martin from....Martin. He was doing it for FIVE YEARS. It finally took Martin to save himself. Unfortunately his past came back for him. When you leave the world of drugs and rough living, you absolute stay away from the people you used to associate with in order to maintain your new found sobriety.
It's sad that there's plenty of Martin's and few Erik's type of people in the rainbow "community". We need more Eriks!!!! Awesome movie but heartbreaking 💔
People share this great film with all who will enjoy it. Look forward to the next new one. I could give some of the bittersweet events that happened in my life for a storyline. 🏳️🌈
Sweet and touching. The story, especially as Martin's character moves into and out of it, is tense as his character is unpredictable and untrustworthy. Unconditional love is the constant in the film and holds the most promise for Martin's transformation. No doubt, there are many reasons for him not to settle down into a committed relationship, including a terrific age difference, but love draws him back and in. It is sad that he is wrenched away finally when he has just returned. His death is cathartic, but in life he might have enabled the other to reconcile with his father, so his death is still an unnecessary tragedy. As it seems in part at least to depict a real event, it has to be accepted. I think the acting is spotty, sometimes fine but a bit stilted. The lines seem read, a little too precise. Martin doesn't seem realistic. It's hard to feel one knows the character through the acting. Maybe he doesn't have enough lines, and the ones he has are unconvincing. His delivery lacks emotion, which is probably the reason it is hard to warm up to him. It shouldn't be hard to see why the other loves him so much, but it is. I was touched at the end of the film in response to his death, and I am glad I saw it.
Is this based on a true story with the memorial of the young man at the end ? The older man in the story is good looking. It's so nice to when a couple are both good looking and over 45. 🏳️🌈
The film was too short. Their connection seemed unrealistic. The older man's motivation was unjustified his suffering seemed unreasonable. A little bit more background story would have made this film way better
Hi Chris, thanks for the feedback. We are actually in the process of writing the feature length script of this story where we can spend more time with their connection, their whole relationship, and their struggles.
