Shayne needs to be recognised. He’s been a massive part of bringing smosh back into its revival. U can tell how hard he’s working as he’s basically the face of smosh right now. I fell away from smosh a while ago and I came back when they bought it from mythical and I’m here for it.
Shayne is for sure one of the major faces of the brand. I only started watching these past few months but had ofc seen stuff in passing. And shayne was always in the content you stumbled upon in recent years

i love shayne but he's definitely the most recognised member after ianthony and maybe THE MOST recognised member in the newer era. he's such a great asset to the brand and i think everyone has been giving him his deserved flowers recently.

No, you can’t blame him defy ruined his life, technically and ruined his brand. It destroyed his creation that he made as a kid you could say Smosh is definitely part of Anthony’s soul in many ways probably the majority part in my opinion so collapse you can’t blame him for having Enjoyment towards destruction, those executives and business losers stole money and ran away. Look at Matt pats claim that they stole over $1 million and also ruined the war zone too and others had to struggle to get their channel back.

Shayne was easily the best hiring in Smosh's history, he is charismatic, humble and the only member of the entire Smosh (Games, Gang or others) who has the same level of comedy as Ian and Anthony.
And I didn't know he and Courtney are married, I'm so happy for them! They are easily my favorite members of Smosh (not counting Ian and Anthony).
I remember an old podcast with Joe Bereta where Joe wanted him to join from the get go but the Deft execs said he was “too old” for what they wanted, and he fought for Shayne to be on. I’m glad he’s on Smosh because he’s definitely a huge backbone and a leader but he’s not doing it out of malice or intimidation but out of respect and kindness.

No doubt that Defy had contributed to much of the Smosh hardships, but the internet in general has been through such a whirlwind of growing pains and I think Smosh has done a great job (all things considered) at navigating this rapidly changing landscape. Keep it up, and enjoy this nice lul of stability before the next generation of the internet hits.
I really just want Anthony to react to the video where Ian interviews his ex's, specifically where Shayne acts as that Defy boss.

The editing on this is quality. Usually this is the type of video I'd second monitor, but the cuts and camera, the annotation, multicams, the whole presentation is engaging without being intrusive.

I can't believe that it has been 9 years since Shayne joined Smosh. I remember being 16 years old at the time and asking "Who is this?" To now being 25 years old and he's one of my favorite castmates!
As 19 years old who started college last year hearing you guys talk about how now you are more comfortable and have more knowledge about yourself not just in life but in also work makes me less scared of the future
As someone who is around their age, it's so true for almost everyone I know. Difficult stuff doesn't stop happening, but you kind of get to know how your mind and body and heart works. You learn to know what works and how you react to things. As long as you don't let that harden in to a "stuck in your ways because you know you don't like it"-mentality, there is a huge comfort in not having to figure out every feeling and situation from scratch. Your 20s is full of new things and you learn by either making the mistake to avoid or handling it well. Either way, you collect tools that way that makes the future easier! It's ok to be scared, but you will be totally fine! And even when you aren't, that will be fine too!
