I really love the fact that the speedrunners are cosplaying their game characters, complete with flashlights strapped to their shoulder
that has to be heavy
Shockwve, Amyrlinn, and FunCannon do a cosplay of their characters almost every time they're on, and its amazing

"We spent 30 minutes in just one section trying to get out of bounds." I've spent almost hour and a half trying to get through a door in Cyberpunk 2077 that has an easy way to get around to the other side via a little wall scaling/climbing.

I've played 35 hours of Dying Light and had no idea flags were a thing in it.
I found out when I climbed the top of one of the antennas.
pootahg it took me a couple hundred hours to realize there were flags xD
Try playing for hundreds of hours. I thought the flags were just some bonus dumb shit.
It took me 7 out of my 100
the first flag i found was the one on top of the antenna on the mission "broadcast" at the dam. i just realized they gave agility points.
Can't believe they never found any coffee, cheetos, chicken.

The great thing about shockwave commentary is all the puns that make everyone groan.
Fun fact: crane's French voice is also the voice of Onizuka in the anime GTO
I love speed runs to figure out aaalllll those tricks and what not.

Neceros True. Discovering the PVP night hunting aspect of this game was a true undiscovered gem. It's a true exercise of the mind.

Noticed that the rank up noise sounded familiar. Realized that it was actually the same as the collectible pickup in Wolfenstein: The New Order. Kinda interesting.

how did they duplicate items can anyone tell me the process ? i v seen many videos but half of them are on ps4 (i have it on PC )and the other half are just fixed on the pc. These two guys did it on pc and it was recent right ?
44:33 Friendly fire *with guns* does not exist. You can still hit your co-op partner with most types of explosive, such as DIY grenades, and exploding arrows too. If you have The Following DLC, you can also use landmines. I do not recall if Explosive or Impact Bolts from the crossbow affect your co-op partner though I know the arrows and bolts sure don't!

The few portions of it that I watched it was clear the guy on the right was better at the game. The one on the left was always lagging behind him in everything I watched of it. Made me not watch the entire thing. Just rubbed me the wrong way that he wasn't as fast as his partner.

the grappling hook mechanic doesnt make any sense in this game lol looks like they threw it in just for the sake of it
actually it does, in the early stages of the game it doesn't, but after that you really need it or else you need to take longer, more boring routes.
I played the thing myself and it felt really weird and wonky and I think they should have made it work differently.
I saw it as a reward for grinding out that skill tree. Keep in mind, there's also an anti-gravity stasis grenade as an easter egg, so the devs didn't take everything super seriously.
well that makes more sense then, but still. this works in spider man and fantasy games only imo xD monster hunter world will have it aswell which is nice depending how itll work

If the game only counts the in game time counter couldn’t one of them just be pauses the whole time and get a time of like 20 seconds
The ingame timer only pauses if everyone in the lobby is paused, not just one.

Hey GDQ I love all these videos you post up! Although is there any chance of getting videos done where the gameplay is a bit larger? When im laying in bed at night watching it makes it hard to see the screens, Although i know its hard to fit it all in, Maybe separate videos of just the gameplay?

When I played this game zombies wouldn’t stop spawning around me (pretty much on top of me), I got pissed off quit and never went back to it, good thing I can watch the story unfold at fast forward speed here instead.

Do all speed runners secretly hate the games they run? I have watched a few and there seem to be far more complaints about the coding, characters and story then positives. I guess if I played something for 1000s of hours I'd hate it a little too. :)

I completely understand that having the cheesed/glitched OP fists is faster than a vanilla playthrough.
But that doesn't mean that in a vanilla/casual playthrough there are no weapons or tools available until you are thrown a machete, as the runners had mentioned/implied.
My comment isn't about what is faster, it is about what is true. People who are watching this and haven't played the game would be getting false info about it, which I want to avoid. I can't express tone in my text, but that "reeaally" being stretched out is supposed to represent that I highly doubt that actually believe they need to only use fists.

It's possible that fist fighting is actually a side effect rather than the goal. The duping they did to get the Grappling hook just so happened to give them the XP needed to boost their fist fighting abilities.

This game really isn't fun to watch being speedran. Wasn't overly impressed with it casually, and I've found the speedruns of it to be way less satisfying. I got bored. Though, I'm glad people enjoyed themselves. Wish I could get into it.
