They should force cockpit camera in esports. It's literally like a cheat to be able to spot apexes from high ground, and it also removes all the challenge in close racing. No other sim racing title enables top down camera for league racing, it's totally absurd.
Completely agree. Why in the world would you even want to play a racing game/sim with the camera above the car. Its weird but i dont play F1 titles so maybe I just dont understand lol
It's because they changed the default view. Settings that we've been able to change in the game for years. Seem to be a lot of bots and scammers praising this game when it's no different to last year.

But, since I have a lot of time on my hands, I'll prove you wrong on your 'no different to last year' comment: -Multiple updated tracks -New handling model including more linear throttle input and more realistic torque curves making for better traction -Brake migration -Braking point 2 story mode with new characters and updated character models -Updated HUD -Updated sound -F1 world including new and improved license system -Las Vegas and Qatar -Updated steering wheel models -New graphics -Red flags -35% races -Precision drive controller technology That's just to name a few before the game even releases
I think he left the sound on default. You can change it to driver's sound, much more immersive then and different sound. Engine sounds are actually behind you, you can hear the wind etc.

Cockpit cam is just so much better than any other POV on the game. Im never switching to TV pod like the so called "pros" 🤣
We use TV pod because it’s allowed. I’m sure if we were forced to drive in cockpit we would be just as fast.
