It's time we settle all power issues once and for all, and move away from burning our oil. It'll take time and a LOT of resources, but it'll be worth it
Dang, that price of nuclear fuel is high. If you ever decide to try to over produce it then you will be rolling in money but that depends on how often you need to re-fuel the reactor. But even the less processed stuff goes for quite a bit. Honestly, I do not know what nuclear technology the nuclear plant in this game is based on because in the 1970"s the best nuclear reactors could only produce 1000 MWh of power but this plant produces almost 10x that number. To put this into perspective, Chernobly had four reactors that produced 1000 MWs of power each. Source:www.britannica.com/event/Chernobyl-disaster I cannot wait to see how this game deals with the nuclear waste disposal. That has been a controversial topic, to put it mildly, for years.
I'm enjoying this play through. Charlie seems to have kept his excitement going. I like how his understanding of the game has grown throughout all the episodes. And I was one who mentioned indecisive at the beginning too. No harm meant. Keep up the good work, I will keep watching. 😁
@@CharliePryor I hope it is worth the time it looks like you have decent amount of views with the series. I can see this going for awhile tho. The game is so in depth and I feel like you have so much more to do with it! 👍 Your good at what you do.
For flattening terrain: If you have the "construct with Rubels/Dollars" checkbox ticked, you can flatten without a construction office and an availble excavator - it will be very fast but also cost you money. If you have it unticked, you need one or more excavators in range but the terraforming will be free (speed is slower and depends on the number of available excavators in range). That's also why you were able/unable (and fast/slow) to build the waterway in the previous episodes.
I know. I’m choosing to pay for the trench entirely, as I find it significantly more balanced that way. So when the trenches are made for our ships, that’s entirely with payment.
@@CharliePryor I mentioned this also for other players, especially new ones, since' it's not obvious from the videos and at least in the past videos it seemed to be unclear to you as well. It is indeed not easy to figure out, the UI lacks in explaining that properly. Please don't consider it back-seating, it is of course up to you how you decide to build somthing, but I thought the info might be useful to some viewers.
Woohoo finally starting to build Nuclear power. Love this game its really well put together with the looks and sounds. Great job Char I'm glad this game has got ur attention as much as it does. Stay safe and enjoy building
Nice work. I am surprised that they actually went into some much detail with the nuclear stuff. The need for cooling towers and the waste disposal plant is cool. The moving of the stuff to the rail construction office is an interesting challenge. I guess that moving the stuff via cargo helicopter is out of the question so rail should do nicely. Once that nuclear planet is done you can electrify all of your passenger lines to make them run as fast as possible. Unfortunately, I do not think that any electrical trains can haul heavy cargo but you can still use the electrified lines with your diesel trains to move cargo. I was wondering why the length of your trains seemed so limited and that explains it. It feels kind of strange that they would make two separate train depots but whatever. This is going to be fun.
Can you connect more than two cooling towers to a nuclear power plant or is that hard capped? I find it strange that the cooling towers do not come built into the power plant but whatever.
Historically the first Soviet atom town was called Ozersk (with a chemical plant called Mayak that processed radioactive materials). In the USA the first town was called Richland. Just FYI if you need names 😉
Cant what for all the construction projects to finish up and sea port are gets building. I wish there was more resources to mine for money lol. And keep up good video of these series I love it and learn alot from u tho cant play the game. Be nice to see cars on the road with working trucks and trains and planes one day too.
Cars, planes, etc is all coming. I’ll be setting up every possible workflow and industry in this series. Just doing it in steps to insure stability with worker needs and supply.
There's no distinction in the game for those career paths. All universities simply create highly educated citizens, or "experts" which can work any job where that education level is needed.
@@CharliePryor well sure ... but one can imagine that there's a distinction between them or something. Head cannon or something IDK. i know that they don't actually teach different things lol.
Is there a limit for the energy you are able to sell neighbours? Like 18W because of the line limitation? If not a lot of money incoming with nuclear power surpluss xD
I’m sure any resources that are in water don’t actually count if u Terraformed the land a little where the water is you should produce more, I might be wrong tho 🤣
Why? 95% of all construction is with my own resources and I output a quarter-million rubles worth a month. I don’t think you’re seeing it that clearly.
@@CharliePryor I think a review in the quarterly reports will show some serious financial gains......sounds like to me you can build as much as you bring in. Break some eggs to get omletts lol. 🤣
@@CharliePryor precisely, quarter-million a year, that won't really be enough, plus knwing u, u'll spend that in a matter of in-game days. I'm just saying, i think u should start focusing on making more money that's all, hombre

The limit is basically the number of customs offices / borders you’re connected to. 18MW each max.
