Only Haishi is mentally and emotionally strong enough to handle everything that her shifu, confidante, lover, and unofficial husband did to her. For everything that he has done up until now, Haishi’s tolerance of him lasted up until this episode, and that is saying something. As sensitive, emotional, deep thinking, easily overwhelmed, and introverted as I am I wouldn’t have lasted as long as Haishi has. The love between Jianming and Haishi is considered toxic in modern interpretation, therefore not anyone is suited to this kind of relationship. Be that as it may, this relationship explicitly and proficiently provided us the insight of the meticulously designed acting to allow for the complexities of the drama to be highlighted. Props to the director of Novoland: Pearl Eclipse.
Their relationship really can’t be compared and understood by modern means. Shifu really loves and cherishes Haishi, but for the sake of the emperor and the land, sacrifices had to be made.
You're forgetting that Fang Zhu is actually sacrificing himself for others including Haishi. He's sacrificing his own happiness just to protect his loved ones even if it means hurting them emotionally. Haishi failed to understand her master coz of her obsession with him. She felt too attached without thinking twice and that's why she thinks she's the only one hurting. But no amount of pain can compare to what Jianming is going through,, scars all over his body but he still chooses to protect those he loves first in exchange for his own happiness 😭😭😭. True love is about sacrifices and understanding and I feel for master.

I felt goosebumps and wanted to cry and cheer at the same time when Haishi was giving her speech to the ministers in court. So sad when Shifu gave Haishi away. My heart hurts for Haishi because she doesn't really understand what's going on and feels betrayed by her Shifu and first love, but more so for Shifu because he sacrificed his love for Haishi so she would be safe and have a future. He suffers so much so everyone else can be safe and happy. 😥💔 I appreciate how guilty and sad the Emperor felt for his friend, the friendship between these two brothers is good to watch.
After taking in helpless kids and raising them with such love, he is spending his last days alone. So pitiful..😥😥😥 The emperor feels so helpless. I feel like he would gladly take master’s suffering if he could. Kudos to the actors/actresses. 👌🏼

He is actually condoning her to a lonely and loveless life, confined to the palace which is like a prison. Not telling her the truth also when it might of eased her pain somewhat. Marry Lord Chan who would use her as leverage against Shifu and his majesty; Marry his majesty to ensure her safety and that of Shifu even after Shifu's death; or a death sentence as deceiving the emporer of your identity was a capital crime. This morning’s Novoland: Pearl Eclipse moments that it really stood out for me among the rest: 1.When Consort Chunrong got summoned to the court, the UNFORGETTABLE Turned around SWEET GAZE of Lord Qinghai or Master while Haishi is walking. 2. Consort Chunrong’s speech was POWERFUL & TOUCHING ( protecting the Master) (was like and sounds like a CONFESSION OF HER LOVE, CARE & DEVOTION) in-front of all the Ministers. 3. The Ever Conniving, Scheming, Pretender, Social Climber, No Conscience and ever Greedy Lord Chang. 4. The Very SWEET PART, when the Emperor went to Yu’An Palace & profess his LOVE to Tilan, “ As husband and wife, any secrets should be shared”. And he. reminded her about the promise she made & repeated it again by Consort Shurong, “ Yes, I WILL BE BY YOUR SIDE, FOREVER AND EVER😢😢, UNTIL THE END OF TIME”. 5. Explanation of Fang Jianming or Lord Qinghai to Consort Chunrong or Haishi, “ WE ALL HAVE A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS. I’M NO EXCEPTION”. Her Reply,” YOU GAVE ME UP?. “ WHAT DO GET IN RETURN?”. He didn’t make any reply -- his poker face face expression was VERY DIFFERENT. It is SOFTER, the Look of LONGING for his LOVE. Angrily left with the HARSHEST WORDS that you can imagine, “ FROM NOW ON, I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU”. I always knew that Princess Tilan is a very sweet 🤩kind person the way she loves and cares about her maids, plus, she always speaks softly and kind words to the Emperor. She hides Haishi's true identity all these times because Haishi saved her life. She wants to make Haishi feel welcome to the Emperior's Haren. I am so proud of Haishi stood up and lectured the Elders in Court. However, Haishi is very homesick 😢and heartbroken💔 with her real husband (Jianming). 💔😭
My mind is at ease as soon as the emperor said that he would free haishi one day. What a great man he is. Jianming is really in pain but I think the person with the greatest pain is his friend, the king. Just imagine the load on his shoulders. Dear actors, actresses, directors, writers and production crew, well done to each of you for portraying your roles so vividly and transporting us into this period of time. The central message of this drama was that time changes constantly but the emotions (love, hate, selfishness, greed, envy, frustration and pride) that drive human relations remain the same. All the actors performed extremely well but the screen chemistry between the actors who played Emperor Xu and Consort Tilan was so palpable and their character development was so poignant. We would have loved to see them have a happy ending but the writers decided otherwise. Hope that the directors can pair them in another series but this time, please give them a happy ending.

超喜欢这个剧里面人物的衣裳，好精致，拉近了看都好美，而且一层一层的，每层颜色不一样，颜色搭配都很适宜。虽然几层领口，那领口却穿的层次分明，对得齐整，给人物平添几分品味。我已经习惯性每次人物出场都要先看领口那里有几层是什么颜色搭配。衣服非常精致的说，细看好多刺绣和花纹，华丽的很，剧组真肯花钱，做这么漂亮的衣服。
