  • Invasive mussels are hastening the deterioration of historic Great Lakes shipwrecks, like the submerged Prins Willem V off Milwaukee. Zebra and quagga mussels are also a big problem for water treatment and power plants. But science - and another invader, the round goby-could help fight them.

    brilliant, here we have all the 3 heros at 21:40 , responsible of this non-problem. "saving shipwrecks"? why? Poison Great lakes to preserve wreck diving business? omg, the americans will monetize literally everthing, I'm in awe if anyone is buying into this.

      Hey I think your comment is a little off base. The wrecks aren’t the main purpose in trying to control the mussels. The mussels effect native fish populations by eating all the food for small bait fish as well as covering reefs used for spawning. These mussels are invasive and have had a huge effect on native species. Do you not think that is worth saving?
