- Gujarat is known for its sweet food, so I hit the streets in the beautiful city of Vadodara, Gujarat, to try the best Gujarati street foods and eat like a local!
Vadodara, Gujarat (formerly Baroda) is a foodie city. The quality of the food, the taste, and cleanliness of Vadodara is the best. The Indian street food in Vadodara is delicious and clean and safe for foreigners to eat. Vadodara is one of the top foodie cities in India.
The Indian food in Gujarat is just a little sweeter than the rest of India. They add sugar into everything including their salty snacks! You're going to eat a lot of sweet, spicy, and tamarind chutney infused dishes in Gujarat.
We ate the following Indian streets foods, some are available around India, but all have a uniquely Gujarati style to them:
1. Sev Usal ₹35 - A very chilli spicy curry with chickpeas and fried biscuits.
2. Sev Kachori ₹25 - A deep fried biscuit shell filled with chutneys and more sev.
3. Ragda Samosa ₹30 - A samosa covered in a spicy chickpea curry.
4. Samosa Sandwich ₹50 - A samosa between two slices of bread with tomato, chutney, and a ton of cheese. Served with chips and tomato sauce.
5. Dabeli ₹20 - The classic Gujarati vegetable hamburger. Like everything else here it has Sev and lots of tamarind chutney.
6. Shrikhand ₹190/kg - A thick and very sweet yoghurt. It comes in over 14 flavours. The berry and traditional Gujarati saffron flavours are best.
The food tour took a twist when someone on Instagram told me to go to a snacks store to try Indian mithai (sweets) and namkeen (snacks). The shop assistant saw my camera and wouldn't stop stuffing me with these fantastic Gujarati Indian snacks and desserts.

I lived in Gujarat for 3 years. Loved the food and people's friendliness. I've travelled almost all over India and my most favorite city is Vadodara. Dabeli is my favorite, I love khaman and handvo too.

Loved this video - how better to spend time in India than touring chat joints? I love Gujarati food and we many Gujarati friends here in West London so plenty of access to it. From this video I really liked the look of the Samosa sandwich, the Dabeli and the Shrikhand.

@@brownerjerry174 brother Gujarat is better in terms of cleanliness, infrastructure. police there is more active than that in the other states Delhi, Rajasthan etc. I have visited Ahmedabad two twice and I was surprised to see such developments. It is surely because of Narendra Modi. When he was the cheif minister of Gujarat he used to interact with local people in every 1 or month and listen to their problems. See the roads in Gujarat it is far better than that of delhi

Hey Karl, I am a Gujarati and let me inform you that 'Jagdish' is already very famous. So, they do not need to advertise themselves. I don't know if this is just a Gujarati thing or an Indian thing... but if you go to someone's place for eating, they would make a variety of food just for you... They will serve you all of them and even after you say 'no' to them.. (Doesn't matter if you are full or not).. they will still keep serving you. That is just the hospitality and love we have for our guests. Yes, we are business people, no doubt.. but still business does NOT come before HUMANS and this applies to all Gujaratis.

I couldn't choose, it all looks so good. I'm a 72 year old pensioner in the uk and would love to spend my last days in India. I am a vegan of 40 years so think Gujarati would be a good place. I wonder where the best place for women would be. I like the Sikh religion because I think they consider women as equals. I am trying to summon up the courage to consider it as a serious option. Your videos are definitely helping. Do they mostly speak Hindi? I would have to learn.

Delhi GDP is 50% from central govt spending. Gujarat GDP is 95% from Guju doing own business in Guj and outside. Maharasthra and Tamil Nadu are the only states that are more progressive and earning fo india right now.
Bengal GDP is mostly out of what center gives , and KErela GDP is form center as well as Money kerela people sent back home form Saudi and UAE etc

More information of Surat is its a flyover city, Very clean, diamond capital of India, textile Industry and off course food industry. Fastest developing city in India. If you are in Gujarat you should visit it.

I was in India a year ago and I ate so much amazing food 😍 I was just reminiscing about it and figured I should find out what some of the dishes I ate were called. So I went on a TH-cam food vlog spree. Watching your video I not only learned that this particular dish is called Sev Usal but I also realized that I was in that very same restaurant to eat it. @sparta king Meat dishes are available in south eastern parts of gujarat. But i would suggest you to visit other states for non veg dishes as Gujarat isnt known for any non veg dishes. Be sure to visit Surat in Gujarat. Surat has two special dishes found no where in India.
When going to India , don't eat Beef, don't preach Christianity or give bible to anyone ,respect local laws and local customs, especially don't hurt anyone's religious sentiments
Mob lynching is very common in these days, by so-called moral police . especially for eating Beef ,bible teaching . Very common in states of: Maharashtra ,UP, MP, Gujarat,villages . The local police is not going to do anything.
Since present ruling party is in power,"BJP" ,they are brainwashing poor Indians that most of their problems are created by Muslims and western invasion of past and Christian conversion
