Ivan Reis has been my favorite artist since New 52 Aquaman

His art was stellar!
For me, it was Blackest Night and Rage of the Red Lanterns, but most people would say that too and to each his own.
The barrier language was actually fine. He didn't express everything he wished to but, he managed to make himself understandable and everyone enjoyed a good time. He seems to be a really nice person.

He's super nice. I met him at Baltimore Comic Con a few years back and he was very easy to talk to
The guy is a beast. Get this man a project with Conan already. He's earned it. Truly amazing work
Beasty and such a humble guy. I remember one interview where he said he cried after being assigned - for the first time - to draw Superman in Action Comics. He practioned the S-symbol many, many times.
Amazing how Ivan Reis can make sense of his work. He uses such freedom to express the pages he makes, and apparently is a no gimmick kind of guy. No wonder all his work looks original.
How come Reis isn't working on any Rebirth title? He is arguably DC's best artist. Has been for a long time.

he's gonna be doing Steve Orlando's Justice League of America, and all the lead-in issues so far have been spectacular so I think it'll be an amazing book
I love his Aquaman! Thank you Ivan for doing this. One page a day...that's incredible! The amount of work these guys put in to create one comic is astounding. It makes me appreciate comics even more!

I didn't know he was brazilian. I was confused why can't speak english well at first, but it makes sense now.
He is a source of great pride to the Brazilian fans , and he is always present in the comic events in Brazil.

After seeing Kim Jung Gi... THE WORD GREAT cannot be used so loosely.
But I prefer Ivan's art over Kim's. Kim's art has its place but it's just not for me but I fully recognize his savant-like ability to render with every mark being a final mark that doesn't need to be erased or whited-out.

As a fellow Brazilian, it was sad to see him struggle so much with the language during the interview. Since Joe Prado was sitting there nearby, couldn't he have stepped in to provide translation assistance? It's obvious that he has lots of insightful things to say but currently doesn't have the language skills and wasted a lot of time that could be better spent drawing.
Ivan Reis is one of the best mainstream comic artists working in the industry right now and deserves better.
I don't won't the lazy concept of Black Lightning, DC. I want Static Shock!!!
