Hi Jann. I'm so happy that I found your you tube video--your bright green and white drapery fabric got my attention. I typically make faux Roman shades for my customers, so when I received an order for pinch pleat panels for a door glass, I started looking for help. Your teaching videos are so organized, detailed and complete for anyone looking for window treatments and more. THANK YOU!!!! And thanks so much for your affiliates listing, too!
Great video, Jan. I found the pattern matching segment to be particularly useful. The description under the video telling where to find specific chapters of the tutorial is a great tool. Everything is very comprehensive. Thank you! An FYI for your viewers, The magnetic pin bowl if unavailable at amazon, can e purchased at Harbor Freight. I have 2 and have used them for several years.
Was so happy to find your in -depth video. So thorough and clear. I was just getting ready to start cutting for my lined 95” panels and would have made mistakes. So thank you! Only thing is I cannot find the pdf file you created for the measurements. I watched one of your courses on. Craftsy on the pillow shams, they look so custom and I plan on making another pair.
So happy you did this tutorial as I have always wanted a precise way to go about it, and I enjoy you teaching methods, so a big THANK YOU! The website to search for Fabric does not open, it says 'page not found'. :( any other websites for fabrics, thats where I have to most difficult time in finding fabrics!
Thanks for the kind words, and the heads up about the fabric link. I'll check it out. May have to do a video about finding fabrics. Thanks for watching!
@@JannNewtonSewOften Please do. The range of prices on fabrics is astounding. One site has fabrics in the thousands of $$ range per yard and the variety of patterns offered seems to have diminished. Such a video would be much appreciated by many.
Hi Jann, I have enjoyed your video very much. According to your pdf on matching patterns, for a cut length of 100.5 inches, I am to cut a length of 112.5 for a repeat of 12.5 inches. Question: After I match, glue and sew my panels together, at what point am I cutting off the excess to the 100.5 inch length? Thank you.
Learning how to make your own lined draperies is a great way to save money when you're decorating your home!

You’ll cut the fabric when you add the buckram during tabling.
Do you use permanent glue for thisbpart and for the lining at the header? Or is it temporary?
Yes, it’s permanent fabric glue. Then stitching the pleats completes making the header. Thanks for watching!
I also cannot find the PDF file you said was available. I went through the description but could not find it.
