  • Hey, hey, hey! Shenzhen, I'm back!
Welcome to my new Shenzhen walking tour, dear friends!
    👀How advanced is Shenzhen?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
Shenzhen is ranked as an Alpha- (global first-tier) city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. Its nominal GDP has surpassed neighboring cities of Guangzhou and Hong Kong and is now among the top ten cities with the largest economies in the world.
    ----------------------⭐⭐
👀Why is Shenzhen growing so fast?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
That year, it was declared a special economic zone, which opened the city to foreign investment, technology, and managerial expertise through the establishment of foreign-owned, joint-venture, and other business enterprises.
From 1980 the city grew at a phenomenal rate, a rate known in China as “Shenzhen speed.”
    ----------------------⭐⭐
👀Is Shenzhen the most advanced city?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
Shenzhen is known as one of the top 20 High-Tech cities in the world, and definitely one of the more modern in China. Despite its incredible development, it's not a very polluted city.
    ----------------------⭐⭐
    👀Why is Shenzhen Special?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
Shenzhen is now the hi-tech home of leading Chinese tech firms such as the internet giant Tencent, telco Huawei, and the drone maker DJI.
Shenzhen is also home to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and is one of the busiest financial centers in the world.
    ----------------------⭐⭐
    👀Where does Shenzhen rank globally?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
In the Global Urban Competitiveness Report 2021, Shenzhen's economic competitiveness ranked 7th in the world. Shenzhen has 169 national-level "Little Giant" enterprises, ranking 4th among Chinese cities.
    ----------------------⭐⭐
👀Is Shenzhen A good place to live?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
Shenzhen has fantastic transport links and is one of the best connected cities in the east. It has the world's fourth busiest port, which is a major part of its economic success, while expats living in Shenzhen can fly to most domestic cities from Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.
    ----------------------⭐⭐
    👀What attracts people to Shenzhen?
    ----------------------⭐⭐
    Modern architecture at its boldest
With sleek skyscrapers stretching to the sky, bold museums, and a monumental library and exhibition center, the city is a space for visionaries to experiment. It's no surprise then that Shenzhen earned the status of UNESCO City of Design.
    ----------------------⭐⭐
Shenzhen, which borders Hong Kong, is often referred to as China’s ‘Instant City’. Municipal leaders from around the world come to see the glossy urban environment of high rise offices and apartment buildings, chaotic yet ordered traffic, automated payments, data management built on environmental sensors, and other innovations built in one unified ecosystem.
Shenzhen is a city of astounding growth and smart technologies.
Through careful planning, inclusion of innovative technologies like artificial intelligence, the internet of things and the attraction of new partners to the growing technological environment, the city has doubled its population in the last 20 years.
The founders of Tencent and Alibaba - Ma Huateng and Jack Ma - graduated from Shenzhen University. But that doesn’t mean only top-to-bottom strategic planning is key to a successful smart city.
All players in the social and economic ecosystem must work together, developing and investing in new technologies, improving internet infrastructure as Huawei and Tencent do by sharing the hardware and software market, watching for shifting preferences of city dwellers and using big data to respond to these changes.
Shenzhen's application of new technologies in urban infrastructure and operations is more advanced than its neighbouring city of Hong Kong.
The city that was built in close proximity has overtaken it as a leading example of a smart city.

THIS is how a city should look in 2023. I am blown away at how impeccable this place looks. So much beauty & art in EVERYTHING, from the architecture to the culture. The people are civilized & everyone just seems to be so happy enjoying life with their friends & family. It's crazy how they have a population of 17,000,000 plus & act more civilized than major cities here in the United States. MUCH respect to China 🇨🇳✨

There is no perfect government in the world. The Chinese with a history of 5,000 years have long discovered, "No matter what kind of system the government is, as long as it truly serves the people, it is a good government.
In recent years, Western countries have had leadership problems. Compared with the "incompetent government" in the United States and the "elite government" in China, it is simply a world of difference! There are more "vagrants" and "violent incidents" in major cities in the United States. The US government has nothing to do but interferes in the internal affairs of other countries all day long, how sad !

@@ainsleyfrastructurekpopmashups The real country of the future is South Korea, and also the Japan big bro (lesser extent), (Japanese were the strongest for quality, a little less than the Koreans for innovation). I live in Bangkok, I find much better than large city of China. Like everything china does, it shines it's beautiful from the outside, but as soon as you go inside, you change the world (like the transformations of silent hill (video games)) your pass the door, you change of world. All of a sudden it's It's crap, inferior quality, low end, cheap, unreliable, hypocritical. The Chinese do not maintain anything, All that reigns is dirt, stinginess, filth, wear and tear, even breaking, are worn out, may be worn to the dead.
In the end, it looks beautiful from the outside and from a distance, but it's a scam and always of very poor quality internally.
Between the Chinese spirit and communism, impossible to rise. Now there is still better in recent years.
Fortunately, China is slowly starting to clean up more and more red shit (egalitarian in dirty p00) and the practice of chinoiserie. To reconnect with its traditional culture (a very great culture) something that the Maoists had almost made disappear.
If you really want to see China's quality version, it's Taiwan or Singapore. Even Hong Kong is inferior. Maybe one day this will change and mainland China will live up to its history, but the Chinese have to first, change their totaly sh1ty and scamer mentality.

Actually you see here the "golden crust" only, which is really insane I admit: Unbeliveable public safety and cleanliness, a lot of EV bikes and cars, trains going 370km/h, a lot of young couples with childrens.
      BUT:
Western medicine is expensive and there is no obligatory health insurance. People mind their businnes only and don't care about others. Workshifts are 8hr Mon-Fri, but everyone does for China and money at least 10-14hrs shifts a day. When there is a lot of projects they can command you to work overtime including weekends. My buddy worked as automotive engineer like this whole 2022. Overall huge contrasts between viliage, town and megapolises like Shenzen. Animal cruelty is not a problem here - live tied crabs in supermarkets or live creatures they kill and cook in front of you in a fastfood or restaurant.
Wanna to learn more? Just install their WeChat app and go into Channels - there is a lot of insane videos too which describe China.

I used to live in Shenzhen for almost eight years. It’s a pity you’ve spent so much time filming the Futian CBD - Coco Park area. Yes, there are a few impressive buildings around, like Ping An, but there’s so much more to see. The old Luo Hu district, Hua Qiang Bei electronic market, window of the world, Sea World, She Kou, the beautiful parks, and views from some of the tallest buildings, to name just a few. This video shows maybe 1% of what’s impressive about Shenzhen. I hope you’ll make more videos about this city. There’s so much more to showcase 🎉

The difference cannot be measured in GDP alone....china has a relatively low GDP per capita....but it is using a large share of it for the public good....whereas other countries with much larger GDP per capita can only use this wealth for private consumption and does not reach the larger population at all....

You can just bow to all the civil and structural engineers and workers who made this possible. An incredible achievement in such a short time. The Chinese people can be proud of their achievement of lifting the country out of poverty and creating such a strong industrialised nation. Chinese cities not just Shenzhen are marvels of modern engineering. Looking at the conditions of many cities and infrastructure here in the west, crumbling, dirty and full of abysmal living conditions for the working poor it really seems that China should not be feared but learned from. I know China has its fair share of problems, but we could learn what it means to build liveable cities for the masses with great transportation, cleanliness and affordable housing. Of course many people live in the high-rise suburbs of these mega cities, but even there you won’t find and of those crime ridden, dilapidated and opportunity free areas you encounter more and more in western cities. The wide range of cities and areas you show us in your videos should really be watched by western people, who often still think that China is just some backwater with some mules and farmers. I think they would be surprised.

The Chinese can thank the engineering knowhow they borrowed from the West to build their modern structures, transportation and factories. And the reason why the infrastructures in the West are deteriorating is simply because they were built long before China could even afford to copy those or know how to build like the West. Only recently when China made lots of money by making things for the Western companies with its cheap labor or prison labor could it begin to imitate the West in everything.

@@GhSider China certainly did its share of colonizing its nearby weaker neighbors throughout its history. The only reason why they didn't colonize globally like some European nations did was not because they were any kinder or gentler, but because they couldn't without the same technology, initiative and courage as the European explorers. The Chinese were - and still are - too inward-looking, ignorant and arrogant to explore and exploit the world outside China.

Going to China today is like going to the US in the '70s ~ '90s. When you got off the plane you'd go "Wow!". And then touring the cities, theme parks...etc., sorta like discovering a new world. Boy how have the tables turned.
Every time I see someone claiming "Chinese people are poor & oppressed & living in fear" I'd show them your videos. But I wonder how many actually watched them.

From the point of view of an observer who comes from the "Western Hemisphere" where China is presented as a country where the citizens are denied everything that seems worth living in, one can only look in amazement at how happy, free and apparently quite worth living the life of the Chinese is, at least in the metropolises appears!
All I can say, Chinese, is that you can be proud of your country and of your leadership, even if there are certainly points of criticism and improvements. In countries that like to criticize your government like a high school teacher, they probably only do so out of stupid ignorance of how far you have come in the meantime. Your mix of bread and butter and stick seems to work much better for the majority of the population than in countries that have taken up the cause of maximum freedom for every citizen and are becoming entangled in increasingly inefficient processes. You Chinese walk on the better path.

There are also opinion polls and some exploratory news in China.
Chinese people are sensitive to news that concerns their own interests, and many people will participate in voting. If there are bad policies, they will protest against the government and oppose the policies.
These votes are policies related to the interests of the people, and if they are policies that are harmless to the interests of the people, they will not vote. As long as we do it, it will be beneficial to the people, such as infrastructure construction and medical improvement

Ninguna. Cero. ¡Nada! China no ataca.

China is a Confucian collectivist commodity economy country. Confucian collectivism is thousands of years of wisdom.
Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore was the one who took this idea to the extreme.

I lived in Shenzhen for a few wonderful years.. best time of my life, I fell in love with the city, with China and a beautiful girl I met there.
being Russian I always felt welcomed and at home in this amazing city full of energy, size, movement and ideas, and being so close to my main town, Hong Kong, made everything more awesome.
    Cheers. 😃😃

My! getting swept away by Shenzhen yet again, and I have been visiting it regularly since 1993-94. I know a girl who is graduating from Shenzhen University this year and moving on to graduate studies in electronic engineering, plays professional-level piano, Chinese wind instruments, and soccer -- IOW an ordinary student in Shenzhen -- and I wish I was a student there too. If only I can somehow make myself decades younger.
