My late aunt had such a devotion to Mother Mary. I didn't quite understand it back then, but I have over the years.
My Queen Mother went through unimaginable sorrow and grief for our salvation. I can't wait to fall at her feet and beg for forgiveness. I pray to her daily, asking for her protection and that she lead me to her loving Son.
    Mother Mary, pray for us.

Not long ago I was introduced to the devotion to Our Lady of 7 Sorrows in a Shrine homily ( it was either Fr Anthony or Fr Matthew). I followed up with TH-cam where I found the Fr Calloway 7 Sorrows devotion; in this he includes St Joseph. The devotion beautifully covers the of Jesus from birth to burial. I’ve always known Our Lady to be the greatest intercessor ever, but only recently, thanks to the “Explaining the Faith” talks and all of Father Chris’ marvelous homilies I have a new found love and appreciation for the strongest human person, man or woman to be born. Thank you, Father Chris for this enlightening presentation and showing us the connection with Divine Mercy. Our Lady of Kibeho Pray for us. Sending prayers for your consolation Father Chris over the loss of your 3 best friends

I wish I was mature enough at age 20 to understand a refugee friend who came here from that genocide. I wish I would have listened more closely with more empathy. I was clueless. Sadly I heard that friend died a year after I had moved out of the area. He had committed suicide. May God have great mercy on those who survived this and other great atrocities and those who were unable to continue as my friend 🙏

The Blessed Virgin Mary is truly our spiritual mother who continually follows our journey as her children on earth. Her maternal instincts to protect, care and guide us are often shown in many apparitions like in Kibeho. As good children, we must conform to what she asks us to do for we know that it’s all about the salvation of our souls and eternal happiness in heaven. My deepest gratitude to you, Fr. Chris, for sharing to us the knowledge of Mary’s motherhood, words and deeds. God bless you together with Brothers Alex, Ken and Mark and the participation of the laity.

Fr thank you so much for this wonderful video and please, remember to pray for Africa particularly Nigeria where silence killings, genocide upon genocide is going on daily but media can't talk upon what is happening like ethnic cleansing e.g. Igbos known as BIAFRA, Benue, Southern Kaduna, Pleateu state etc as a result of Islamization agenda but UN is quiet because of corruption in the system. Pastors, Priests, lay faithful killed and burnt like animal in the bush, Mazi Nnandi Kanu as Christian is in prison but nobody cares. May Our Lady come to our aid 😭🙏 for women, children, men both young and old are being raped, kidnapped daily, IDP camps are much with untold pains etc

Our Lady's warnings are to be taken seriously.
She loves us all so much and does not want us to go to hell.
Genocide happens when man allows evil to dominate his heart.
Innocent lives are lost because of man's ignorance and greed.
But despite the destruction and devastation, many faithful Rwandans never lost hope. Therefore, they have been blessed and given graces by God.
He miraculously healed the country and got rid of the dark forces that controlled it
Thanks again, Fr Chris for a wonderful presentation.
We all need to be reminded of God's most wonderful gift to us all, Our Blessed Virgin Mary.
She loves us and is our intercessor.

Fr Chris, thank you for ‘going where no priest has ever gone before’ by wearing multiple hats - namely that of Provincial Superior AND the Director of Marian Helpers. Despite this, you never look tired or distraught. I never take your ‘full plate’ for granted and am grateful for what you do for us day-after-day. I am so grateful! May God look favorably upon you for always giving us the truth in all that you say. 🙏

I really enjoyed listening to this talk Fr. Chris. I have prayed the Seven Sorrows chaplet a few years ago and it's pretty powerful. The Apparition of Our Lady of Kibeho should be considered just as important as Fatima. I say this because I remember hearing about Fatima in the 80s when that statue was taken all over the world. Since the Kibeho apparition was approved it's not been talked about as much and it should be.

There was a tragedy: My two brother's died about 9 weeks apart...Then my son, took his life about 9 months after...He had a brain tumor along with another illness to his brain...He also was in a marriage that seemed to be ending...My heart broke as I see him now with a heart break along with horrific pain...I saw him a couple of weeks before he died and his head was swollen like humpty dumpty...It was frightening...His wife told me, after his death, that he would have nose bleeds every morning along with vomiting...He also would become dizzy, etc He had already had an operation on his brain about 10 years ago, and was home on sick leave from an operation on his back and it looked like he was heading for another one on his knee...I know he loved his family, and had to know God's mercy. My daughter had visitations for a while after he died...(she has had experiences since a little child) Three of different times he came to her, he asked her to let his boys know (he had two boys) he was sorry and that he loved them...She also saw a vision of him crossing his forehead in a reverency. The last thing she seemed to get from him was, after she asked why he couldn't come back...and he said..."Why this is so beautiful?"

Regarding the three days Jesus was lost, personally as a father (but I'm far from being like Mary) I imagine losing the Son of God would increase my perceived guilt, but it would be kind of separated from the feeling of losing simply a son - that would be horrible pain. Any Christian would feel bad for allowing the Son of God into harm, but it's different from pain of allowing your son, that's what only a parent (and probably especially a mother) can feel, regardless of how precious everyone thinks that son is.
What about broadcasting the prayer on Tuesdays and Fridays?

I consecrate myself to our beloved Blessed Virgin Mary. Her love for all of us, her children, is endless and unconditional.
I always feel her pain and anguish whenever I look at an image or statue of Our Lady of Sorrows.
I thank God for allowing me to receive these blessings and graces It is a wake up call for me and a reminder that Jesus suffered and sacrificed His life for all.
She is our mother, queen, protector, guide, defender, guardian, intercessor and teacher.
We need to take heed, listen and follow all her messages. She wants us all to go to heaven and sin no more. We need to come back to Jesus our Redeemer, Saviour and Messiah.

Fr Alar - my family are big fans of these Saturday talks, because they cover topics that are NOT usually covered in Sunday homilies. To be fair, the homilies for Mass have to explain the Mass Readings of the day. But that is exactly why these talks, on so many aspects of the Faith, are much needed.
Could you find out more, and discuss, are there are any Marian Apparitions either in China, or warn about China? We all know Fatima - the warning there is about Russia, and we can see it unfolding in the news. We also know about Akita - that seems to be chastisement for the whole world, not just Russia. However, it seems strange that the Blessed Mother is silent on China. Firstly, that's 1.2 Billion people under the curse of Communism. So much suffering (never mind the material wealth - forced abortions, thought control, suppression of religion). Surely the Blessed Mother is not indifferent to 1.2 Billion people? And secondly, the all-round military buildup dwarfs Russian power. Are they a threat to the world? Or will the Akita chastisement come *before* they launch a war, and thus wipe out the dictators?

    • @DivineMercy_Official
      @DivineMercy_Official  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes, that is a good point. They are definitely a threat but there is not been a lot on Marian apparitions regarding this topic so I will look into it a bit more. Thank you and God bless

I only occasionally pray the Seven Sorrows of Mary because I so often, while praying the Sorrowful Mysteries, think about her suffering as well. For example...
When Jesus's hands are nailed to the cross, I think of Mary holding Him as a baby and, like so many do, admiring, lovingly, the little infant hands. Then, to think of how little the world thinks of her Son, punishing Him like a criminal... This is powerful stuff!
I've also come to realize just how short-lived the joys in the Joyful Mysteries really are. Only the first three can be called pure joy. But it starts to darken, as Jesus sheds His Blood and Mary is told what will happen, by Simeon. We also see the foreshadowing of the three days of Jesus being dead, in the final Joyful Mystery.
There's a lot less joy in the Joyful Mysteries than the Glorious! But even after the Resurrection, we have to bear in mind that Mary continues to see that man, for the greater part, doesn't know and doesn't care... even to this day. It is for this reason, I now realize -- and I have my part in it, as well! -- that I so often feel sad and cry while praying the Rosary, even when the mood of the Mysteries are not sorrowful.
Anyway, just thought I would share my thoughts. I would pray the Seven Sorrows with more devotion, but I feel I kind of already do, in the Rosary itself.

You know on Friday, July 14, 2023, I went to the Church to take the communion books in for my Autism son that will be doing his communion this year and I went to the Temple to get Holy water. The Church was closed; so nobody was there, just me, Mother Mary, and Jesus Christ. I spoke to him and said I wanted to be in a state of total grace before I died, so can he forgive all my sins even the mortal ones, and can he give me the grace to see him in person, so I can hug and kiss him like the apostle did because I always wanted to meet Jesus in person. When I went to get my Holy water and was going down the stairs; to leave out the door, I felt so light like a feather and I was leaning towards one side like I was going to fall and I had to pick myself up and hold on to the rail and watch my steps because for a moment I felt myself like I was walking in the clouds. Why was I feeling that way?

Hey Fr. Chris, is it hard to receive God's Mercy? I went to confession today and the priest seemed to get disturbed and like a surprised sound. Then made the impression that it's hard to receive Gods mercy. I don’t remember how he said it exactly but it just sounded like it is hard to get Gods mercy. It just bothed me that it felt like I would never be good enough to get mercy and forgiveness.

Sorry you had to go through this. Pray for that priest as he is human too and has bad days. I took my 8 year old to confession several months ago and there was a visiting priest. My daughter was confessing her sins and he kept making these sounds and asking her "you did all that?!" I coukd hear him loud and clear despite being several feet away. My daughter said he kept interrupting her. I was bothered by the treatment but didnt say anything to him. I was discouraged too when it was my turn but i didnt tell him anything. I didnt make a big deal about it with my daughter because i dont want to discourage her, but we did pray for him. I didnt want to return to confession but my husband intervened and reminded me of the graces we receive from the sacraments. We must pray for priests and offer up the humiliation. Dont be discouraged... the enemy is working overtime and doesnt wants us to reconcile with our God. Chin up😊

    • @Sam-be4fl
      @Sam-be4fl ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@elhpasu Yes the humiliation is honestly a beautiful part. Jesus was humiliated and we can offer it up. After my confession after feeling all depressed I know I would go back to confession, even though I felt how people would feel to not go back. I offered up my sadness up to the people who do get discouraged and not go back, and to come back to confession. Also praying for the priest. The confessional does need to be a professional place. I mean for these times to, well anytime but your going to hear more darker conversion stories. Let's just say you have a person who was "married" to the same sex and one of the persons converted and left the "marriage". You can't have a priest gasping and doing that because then they will just go back to sin possibly. Excpecally if they aren't strong in their faith yet. Then you lost a saint. Confessional needs to be a safe space so to speak. I do my humility by not taking holy communion if thats the case or out in the world. The world's not perfect though. We must pray for our priests and all the great work they do. Also, pray for people out in the world trying to live holy lives.
