- Lets use our dressmakers tissue paper to make ephemera for our Junk Journals.
Who knew tissue paper was so strong ! I have sewing pattern paper and some tissue wrapping from shoes, can you find tissue around your house or craft room to make these fun pieces for your junk journals ? I’ll show you some pockets and ruffles, tags and booklets and create a cute envelope together.

This is great? I have glued tissue paper onto oak tag used by dressmakers, but I think it looks much better glued to itself. I look for patterns for tiny dolls, newborns, and premies, because in those sizes the marks are can be closer together than on patterns for larger bodies. Also, I have a lot of old patterns from the Burda company, which are blue. That paper is made to be sewn, stapled, and taped for fitting purposes, so it can be stronger than the thinner tissue you show here. I will be returning g to watch this video a few more times. I love it!
Thank you very much for your comment and support. I haven’t seen burda tissue, I will look out for it, sounds like a fun item to play with. I just have so much of this tissue ! When I glued it together it gets pretty strong, I also like using it as a collage element.😊

I appreciate your comment Jackie, you can still do this project by glueing the sides and if you want the stitching look do little dashes as faux stitches around.

At the 1501 mark of the video, the images and the tissue, did you print the image on the tissue or put the tissue over the images?
I simply glued the tissue over the image 😊 thanks for the question I should have explained that better, I had a distraction lol

Can you do any of these without a sewing machine? I wonder if the paper would work with glue or if its too thin.
Yes it does work, some are done without stitching. You can layer them together with glue to make the paper stronger. 🩷

Hi, You can get quite a good result if you use tacky glue and scrunch as you go, I hope you give them a try 😊❤️
