Amazing Dr Gabor Mate , Im never tired to listening to his advices. His books are amazing also. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I wonder how can we keep a healthy attachment with children when parents are separated and there is half half custody of them. We know it is not and ideal situation but when the circumstances are those. How could we do to make it the best possible outcome for them.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Dr. Gabor Maté’s insights are truly invaluable, and it's wonderful to hear that his work resonates with you. Regarding your question about maintaining a healthy attachment with children in shared custody situations, it's indeed a challenging situation. The key is consistency, open communication, and ensuring the child feels secure and loved in both homes. It's important to keep routines stable and to co-parent with respect and understanding, so the child knows that both parents are united in their care, even if they're not together.
Every family is unique, so finding what works best for your situation is crucial. It’s all about creating a safe and supportive environment where the child can thrive. Thank you again for your thoughtful comment and for engaging in this important conversation.

Thank you for reaching out with your question. Developing attachment with an adult child takes time and effort, but it's worth it.
