As Americans we weren't familiar with it but everyone around us knew the words. After a bit of Googling, we found that you are the source of this incredible song. We've shared it many times. Just back from a holiday in Malta, March 2024 and heard this playing in a bar. Hadn’t heard it before but my friend and I thought it was fantastic. Quick “Shazam” identified it and here I am putting it into my TH-cam favourites. Life is good.

Started coming to Scotland a few years ago to visit my nephew. Was in a pub in Mallaig when we first heard Skippinish and Skerryvore playing. Since then have taken a liking to some trad/ rock bands, nice to hear something different.
