OMG OMG a your bannister rail idea for a sewing ham is brilliant! THANK YOU! I even have a piece I cut from the end of a wooden closet dowel rod that will work perfect. I always iron all seams open any quilt I make. So this will help so so much. ❤️

what is the 18 degree dresden? I have a dresden ruler but is 8" tall, will that work? I would like to know the diff in them

Could you please explain in a little more detail how to use the freezer paper and the center. I wasn’t sure what you meant by the fabric being pulled in around the freezer paper. Thanks.
Hi Patricia - have you ever made yo-yos before? It's kind of the same principle but you don't pull it so tight that it gathers. You'll run a basting stitch in your seam allowance and then pull the stitch to tighten around the freezer paper to make your circle. I hope this makes sense! i makeing a dresden and for the first time its not laying totally flat, i am sad. it i a hudge beautiful one, nearly 3 FT in diamator, help please
We can fix that. Press the seams open first. Lay it out and decide which seam is standing up a bit. Go back and take that seam in just a little bit. Keep going u til it lies flat. Also make sure you have the right number of wedges. Let me know if it works.

Think about it. Back in the school days our teachers taught us how to do everything w/o expensive tools. Thought about that when watching a vid about how to cut a strip of fabric into rhombus pieces. Just need your ruler or mat w a 60 degree angle. Saved $30 that day!
Maybe we should check out our old folks textbooks?😀🙋
Or talk to & ask the older generations. I'm sure they'd love the company and conversation and we'll love the wealth of knowledge they give us....Just and idea..lol
