    I love knowing my Outback can do these things, without actually doing these things to my Outback.

    Is the Outback driver really rich? He takes some awesome risks with his car. I've been driving Subaru for years and people never believe me when I try to tel them how tough and capable they are. Great video. I want more.

      I believe you. Nothing in the world can literally dig a tunnel through 6-7 feet of snow like a Subaru w/decent snow tires. Maybe a newer Audi Allroad or Q7 on account of their recent power gains and weight loss.

      True, it's got lower ground clearance to keep it's crossover look and smaller appearance. But Subaru's AWD, and ability to downshift, already make moderate off-roading a breeze let alone newer technology like Subaru's VDC, traction control, and x-mode (est. 2014) which all work together and deem very useful in hardcore conditions. However, I wouldn't take the risks this guy did if I had a newer Outback by any means. I wouldn't even do this in my 2003 Outback (which has less tech & less ground clearance at 7.9 inches) lol. Regardless, they are vehicles more than capable of going off-roading if you want to. Just be smart about it.

      What year do you have? I need to find myself some skid plates. I've thought about doing a lift but overtime that can be rough on a vehicle.

      why don't you try going up that hill in a sentra at 60mph see what happens.

    I love this vehicle! Especially the 3.6! It's a gem! It performs surprisingly well even with H/T tyres, what more if it's equipped with A/T tyres. Haha. I love my 12' Outback 3.6! Truly capable, dependable, reliable, quick and it sounds great too fitted with the right exhaust. 👌🏼

    Wow Subaru's have amazing off-road capabilities. Nice video. I'm fastly becoming a Subaru fan and I'm very interested in the possibility of purchasing a crosstrek (XV)

    • @SteedDigital1
      @SteedDigital1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Ricardo Massa newer subarus, you can just think of the outback as the hatchback/lifted legacy, and the crosstrek is the lifted impreza. I got an impreza, and would definitely go for something higher. btw don't shy away from the CVT, it's actually really good. I've put 34k on the car already, with some offroad. everything is holding up perfectly. :D

    Ive been a truck person all my life and recently got a Subaru because I needed a new ride and it caught my eye. And all I can say is with the Subaru I havent spun tire or gotten stuck once. Their AWD really is all its cracked up to be.

    • @jamespostle6894
      @jamespostle6894 ปีที่แล้ว

      a lot of reasons. mpg, on road comfort, reliability, and more. off road vehicles have a lot of road noise and aren't as nice to drive when your not offroading.

    • @soiah
      @soiah 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrRichieCZ Pan Richie, CVT wil simply shut down if abused, you can find videos about it on TH-cam, Fast Lane demonstrated that, and Subaru would not give them cars for testing anymore.

    • @SubieandFriends
      @SubieandFriends 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@soiah I don't agree with that, TFL is horrible at driving offroad, they refuse to climb with any momentum cuz they afraid of breaking the car....in many offroad situations you need some momentum to get over obstacles, I myself have an 18 outback with cvt and live close to the TFL office in Colorado and I drove thru the same trail they took their outback and I was able to clear the hill without any problems, all it needed was some momentum and it cleared it without issues with xmode and without xmode
