Same, I was a die hard Penta fan and early days of g2, Fabian, goga, Kanto, jnszki, KS, pengu. Both beats teams, early days of G2 were the best team ever, haven’t played or watched in years, just popped into my head what’s going on in the scene.
Been a G2 fan since the Penta days, but stopped following the Esport scene after G2 vs Empire at the Raleigh Major. As I progressively stopped playing Siege I would come back every now and again to see how G2 were doing, only to find them struggling to even qualify. But seeing this and seeing Fabian behind the scenes genuinely fills me with so much joy, regardless of my opinions on Siege as a whole. Well done G2. I know I'm late, but I'm happy I saw this.

You really couldn’t ask for a better two teams for the finals. W7M fell short so many times, but their first year with this squad? As you said, nearly perfect, oppressive siege. No one had a doubt they’d be in the grand finals as the absolute most consistent team of the year. And g2 is the team that has legacy in the game, the team that will do anything to finally get that glory again. Their the team that, for all their efforts and investments in siege, SHOULD be competing in grand finals, but has been so lost for so long that everyone wrote them off. The team that we all knew would be there Vs the team that “should” be there. Incredible game. One of my favorite SI finals
when i started siege back in 2018 my friend told me to watch pro league watched a penta game and was hooked on that team since when they became G2 and won a second si it was crazy then the drought when pengu and fabian left seeing all the ups and downs with the failed rosters and now seeing the roster win again is great

As a person who watched the grand final in 2019, where Fabian was one of the players on the team, it was the last final I watched, and now I am watching this final six years later and with a new generation in the team, and watching Fabian leading the team as a coach this time makes me cry involuntarily and nostalgia for the past.

The way that G2 was able to win that basement defense on bank without a smoke exemplifies how ridiculous they are mechanically. Kind of reminiscent of the "old g2" team-- when things didn't go according to plan they could gamble on simply winning gunfights and establishing crossfires because their skill level permitted it.

I don't know if I like pengu as caster. He has a lot of ingame experience and it shows from his insight, but for some reason I think he does not mesh well with Parker.
I think it's more so Parker being obnoxious, he's trying to just get in cool with Pengu, because of his Legacy, but Pengu doesn't find his jokes funny because they're mostly insulting jokes, particularly towards Pengu. I think someone more focused on the game and not bullshitting would be nice lol

Anyone else think they try to hard to be different to defend the bomb sites? Why not have like 3 at the bottom and the 2 floor above so you don’t leave it so open downstairs
@@Webbtheboy I mean, I don’t necessarily see their defense or attacks as pro strats, just regular standard pro gameplay. For me pro strats would be like a crazy push using certain operators or some nasty site setup involving utility and lines of sight difficult to attack 🤷🏽♂️

In the last two maps Julio didn’t get a single kill on a round w7m won and actually tk’d they’re top fragger in the first round of series point overtime because he couldn’t aim his Hibana pellets right c😂🤡
@@fl1490 in this case, Julio's KD ratio did play into W7M's loss. A lot of the rounds, Julio was ending up one of the remaining players for the majority of the rounds. A negative K/D hurts in the clutch scenario. Julio does his support role well and he also is a great IGL but not being a good gun is concerning considering Blurr and Virtue are also fragging and they play support/flex roles

Also clutches are something that just happens, even if there is one clutch the entire game, that’s considered a miracle, it shouldn’t be expected out of any players. yeah but as I remember well they got beaten by empire two matches before the Grand Finale, but G2 played the whole time in the lower bracket.
