    You mentioned bypassing would make it so the lowest band wouldn't affect the higher bands, but even if it wasn't bypassed it wouldn't affect the higher bands anyway, right? Isn't that the point of a multiband compressor?

    not trying to hate, but this tutorial didn't offer much. You're working on such a flat vocal, you're basically playing the game on the easiest setting. You could've gone through the other settings more thoroughly as well

    You had all the ratios set at 1:1, so no compression was happening.

      Michael L. Hi Michael, the expansion ratios were at 1:1. You can see compression happening as the blue gain reduction meters were moving
