Can't wait for them to never make Arin sets because "he doesn't sell"

just like how villian sets don't sell (but definitively not because of huge price, no no)

Lucky for us Arin and Sora also got the second best set of the wave which is also the cheapest and this quad also has Cole in it so it can't be blamed on the new ninja; so that kinda savages the situation I think

There's a technic surface space loader with big new wheels and 435 pieces for $35

It's a shame, 'cause this is my favorite Ninjago car design so far. It's great as a toy, as a set, but it's not a good deal.

It sucks because I really want the 3x2 pentagonal tiles from this set! First time they’ve done them in light bright orange and they’re perfect for a MOC I’m building!

    Climbing Hook? Nope!
that needs to be on a Winch in the front grill, with actual cord that you can reel in.
then it'll be plausible for rock climbing.

Gosh, super cheap here in Aus! Well, not cheap haha but - on sale - equivalent to your suggested price.
One thing you missed was indicating stickers/prints.

If they just added a decent villains side build, maybe with like, 50 pieces or so, it would be 10 times better

I live in Australia, Kmart right now is selling Arin’s buggy for 45 Australian dollars which is about 30 US dollars. I asked them why is it so much cheaper than the official price, they said that it might be because they got a discount when importing this product.

I don’t like the price tag either, it is not my number one choice, However, it does come with some good parts and amazing characters! Especially cinder And his epic sword! The orange windscreen reminds me of Cole‘s vehicle from crystallized, so I could imagine an interesting vehicle could be made, if both sets were combined together

Yea... It has to be the overly designed minifigs. So there are about 4 dual molded parts. plus prints. I argued with someone in the TTV discord claiming its a "Wheel Tax". Yea no that still should put the set at $35. It has to be the minifigs that push it over the edge.

You want to be able to turn your head?
I'm assuming that in playtesting they discovered the younger kids (target audience) didn't have much interest into posing figures.

Meanwhile me about to drop $180 for set 2476, Dino Attack T-Rex vs Iron Predator, which has only 278 pieces

    • @PaleozoicBricks
      @PaleozoicBricks 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

so I think that's a bit different being that is after market prices. That set was $40 during its retail release. But I understand the pricing when it comes to the T-rex. That thing alone is worth $20. (at the time of release)
Also $180? hold off there will be better deals

@@PaleozoicBricks picked it up yesterday! I appreciate the advice, but I’ve been tracking the set for several months and unfortunately $180 actually IS a “better deal” nowadays. I should’ve specified that I bought it factory sealed, not used, and in that condition it’s been fetching an average of $250-300 on eBay and Bricklink lately. Dino Attack is randomly one of those themes that’s just super expensive to buy new even compared to other themes from the time. I’m also trying to collect some early 2000s Creator and Designer sets, and those have been much less expensive overall despite being the same age or older. People just really like Dino Attack ig.
I did a ton of research and checked a lot of sources, and the cheapest a factory sealed Iron Predator has sold for online in the last several months is $190 plus shipping. Since I bought mine in person from a local toy shop there was no shipping - it was $180 flat. And I was able to test the lights myself - they’re still super bright. So though it was a lot, overall I’m happy with my purchase and excited to be so close to 100% completing the Dino Attack theme - only downside is that snazzy new technic space loader will have to wait because I’m broke now 😭

@@PaleozoicBricks (sorry if I reply twice, I’m not sure if my first reply went through or not)
I wanted to say I appreciate the advice, but unfortunately all the Dino Attack sets are insane these days. I should’ve specified that I’m buying factory sealed, not used, so $180 actually IS a “better deal” - I’ve been tracking the set for several months now and in that condition it’s been regularly going for $250-300 on eBay and Bricklink. I always do a lot of research before buying rare items, but the absolute lowest sold listing for a factory sealed 7476 I’ve seen in the last year or so was $190 plus shipping. So for $180 flat, I couldn’t pass it up.
I have no idea why Dino Attack in particular is so pricy, none of the other 2000s themes I collect are that bad. I guess it’s super popular for whatever reason. At least I can say though that since I got mine in person from a local toy shop, I didn’t have to pay shipping and I was able to confirm for myself that the lights still work - the lights on my specific one are actually still super bright, which is one of the things that made me cave lol. Not only are they visible in broad daylight, but they actually still illuminate the mouth too.
Overall I’m really happy with my purchase even though it was expensive, and I can’t wait to build it. Only downside is that snazzy new Technic Surface Space Loader will have to wait because I’m broke now 😭

@@PaleozoicBricks sorry I don’t know why my earlier reply didn’t go through, but the set was factory sealed - and unfortunately, $180 IS a good deal for a sealed 7476. They usually go in the $200-300 range.
