- Randy Santel vs Poke In Da Eye Barbecue's Legendary Texas BBQ Challenge w/ smoked beef brisket, BBQ pork ribs, and sausage, hosted by Poke In Da Eye World Championship BBQ & Catering in Tyler, Texas. After finishing my 2021 Midwest USA Food Challenge Tour, I took a 2 break break to rest and recover. Then I started a Texas & Southwest USA Tour which ended up including just 4 food challenges in Texas. For challenge #1 to begin the trip, I headed down to Tyler, Texas so I could become the first person to attempt and help kick off the new Legendary Texas BBQ Challenge at Poke In Da Eye World Championship BBQ & Catering which was so delicious!! I had 1 hour to feast on lots of delicious Texas barbecue foods. There was a full rack of St Louis style pork ribs plus giant portions of Texas beef smoked brisket, burnt ends, chicken breast, turkey breast, chicken thigh, juicy pork tenderloin, and 2 types of sausages - Pepper Jack Cheese and Jalapeno Cheddar. I enjoyed 6 tasty side items with the meal and then 2 homemade desserts - peach cobbler and banana pudding. I was trying to win my $75 Texas BBQ feast free plus a sweet t-shirt, hat, and the 1st spot on the "Legend Status" Wall of Fame. BIG thanks to Joseph, his wife, his son Joseph, and everyone with Poke In Da Eye Barbecue for the fantastic smoked meats, sides, desserts, drinks, and hospitality!! Thanks also to the amazing people who came up that evening in June to watch and meet me!! I appreciate everyone in Tyler, TX and all around Texas who watches and supports our hard efforts!!

Poke In Da Eye's World Championship "Legend Status" Texas BBQ Challenge in Tyler, Texas ($75):
- Poke In Da Eye World Championship BBQ & Catering offers championship award winning BBQ & catering to the folks in and around Tyler, Texas. They are family owned & operated and they even have a playground for the kiddos. There is no job too big or too small for them to prepare!!
- I was the first person to attempt and help kickoff this new "Legend Status" BBQ Challenge.
- There is a full rack of St Louis style BBQ pork ribs plus big portions of Texas smoked beef brisket, burnt ends, chicken breast, turkey breast, chicken thigh, pork tenderloin, and 2 types of sausages - Jalapeno Cheddar and Pepper Jack Cheese.
- There are 10 different side options and you must pick 6 of them. I ordered homemade macaroni and cheese, green beans, a Texas potato casserole, two types of coleslaw, and healthy mixed vegetables.
- Lastly, there are 2 desserts required & I ordered homemade peach cobbler and banana pudding.
- There is a 1 hour time limit to finish everything. Call ahead and schedule your challenge beforehand if you are interested. Then they can have everything available and ready for you!!
- Winners get the $75 BBQ feast free plus a t-shirt and spot on the "Legend Status" Wall of Fame.

Looked delicious but I think bbq is one of the hardest challenges there are right up there with that Asian chicken one you did so much flavor fatigue great try though and as always great video!!!

I saw him live before in Arkansas and trust me he's a super loud chewer, it's gross. They definitely adjust the audio because his mic is right bear his mouth and I don't hear it all in his online videos

I'm a fan Randy and I've eaten BBQ at a few places but those meats look really dry in all honesty!
They looked pretty sad for a championship bbq place. The local J&B smokehouse where I’m at serves some fine bbq. I remember getting some sliced brisket sandwiches, and the guy went “sorry It’s falling apart” as he was placing it on the cutting board. Juiciest most succulent brisket sandwiches my family and I had ever eaten. They gave us sauce on the side, but man it was just too good for sauce. Expensive but worth the money.
I tend to agree. Even the brisket had no juice when slicing. Very dry

one thing I envy about America is the BBQ meats are so good and while in America I loved a plateful of what was great food and plenty of it.

Matt is actually the reason I began watching competitive eaters in the first place, but I prefer Randy's style tbh. I still watch Matt as well among others but Randy's the favorite around my place. We even bought a stationary bike cause of him. Molly would have done it in 10 lol but cannot watch her too long, makes me gag lol

I always love these bbq challenges!!💗 Just saw a challenge on another channel. It's in Mexico city, Mexico. It's a 6.6lb burrito that is mostly all meat, tastes great and has fries too. It's at a place called Ta' karbon. You and Katina need to make a few rounds in Mexico soon 😁💗

WOW..!! Those ribs looked amazing..!!! I've never understood why some restaurants tout their ribs as "fall off the bone tender"..(..if it falls off the bone, they're over-cooked, IMO..)🙂
