If I may I have a couple suggestions to avoid this issue. 1. If keeping Leachies in bins it’s imperative to provide climbing surface to keep them off the ground. 2. Properly size your bin according to the animal. Ideally larger bins should be used for Leachianus as to give them a little more space. 3. Florida is naturally already a humid state so it’s imperative that spraying frequency is reduced and a fresh water source is made available at all times. 4. You can easily accomplish higher humidity across the room by using a larger scale humidifier without having to worry about spraying down enclosures. 5. Regular inspection intervals are imperative for larger collections. While I understand life gets busy, and with large scale numbers it becomes increasingly difficult to catch these things when they happen so regular inspections help to keep everything top notch.
Thank you for sharing this very important interesting information you guys are awesome I have a couple of geckos from you they are 1 1/2 now doing great and very healthy
Awesome video!! I’ve been waiting for someone to put out content about illnesses and things to watch out for on your geckos. thank you very much would love to see another like this!!👍🏽
I gotta check my babies now.. I seen what u did with the paper towel but i think with the sprayer like your brother said will work way better ...Im about to quick dip my babies just incase
Our leo got an infection in his abdomen back in the winter and we didn't catch it in time. One day he was fine, but we didn't pick him up for just a couple of days and that was enough time for us to miss it. I think it was because he got too cold while he was digesting food, but we really don't know for sure.
Damm one of my little babies died. I think i got the paper towel too wet and it gave him a bunch of blisters in his belly, by the time i figured it out he was extremely weak and died shortly after. He was perfectly fine the night before but i didnt notice the blisters. Fucking sucks man
Substrate was swapped from orchid bark to 0a0er towel but I think i over misted the paper towel. He was only on paper towel for about 24 hours as I found him dead at 8 am the next morning

Another way we noticed can happen is if substrate gets stuck to them and doesnt fall off

Leeches are cute. So much respect
I think in your last video leachie vs chahoua you didn't mention the cool vocalizations these guys make too!
very true!
A little blister..creating a wet environment without proper ventilation. High humidity does not mean wet. Do not keep them wet

Where can I get this cleaner it’s not under the bio of this video?? Thanks 🙏🏼
Safe and clean 🤗
Buy a fully front screen enclosure rather than glass or tub.
No. Buy one with a screen on top. Not a fully screen enclosure.
What are those enclosures?
I truly love how you care for God’s creatures
Ooh they have really wrinkly skin
Ooh neosporn triple anti biotic
Paper towel substrate to heal
Can the infection spread to other geckos if we house in pairs?
Doesn't seem so
no but typically if they are being housed together they are both prone to getting it
Your brother has a nice fro
Make sure you inspect your animals
what locale is this guy?
ami x ana
