- A quick ride from Long Island City to Maspeth Queens, to visit the Calvary Cemetery. At about 3 million, Calvary has the most interments of any cemetery in the United States. The Cemetery is Roman Catholic and was first used in 1848, and is home to many Civil War Veterans and even notable members of organized crime. It is a beautiful and peaceful place with some fantastic views! The drone footage from the cemetery is awesome! As always, the music is great, volume up!

Beautiful...thanks for the well done video. Gosh this place is amazing.
Thanks so much Mary Ann! Glad you enjoyed it. You may also enjoy my video on Ridewood Reservoir, also beautiful with incredible music.
Visited this cemetery several times in 2003 while I worked in Queens. I enjoy exploring old cemeteries and Calvary is the perfect place for the curious. At the time I was not aware of the famous people that were buried there and I wish that I had taken the time to find some of their graves. I also visited the chapel each time I was there and just sat for a while because it was so peaceful. If you ever get the chance to visit Calvary I highly recommend it. Great job on this video Mark-G.
Our true home
Its mindblowing just how huge and dense NYC really is compared to anywhere else in the country. Its like 3 cities in 1!
Thanks for watching Richie, check out some others!
What a beautiful cemetery...thank you for the video. I have many relatives that were in the service who are buried here, from WWI and WWII whom I never met. I live in Michigan and appreciate your time and effort in making this video so people like me can see our relatives final resting place.
Thanks so much Barb,
Glad you enjoyed!

It’s a mini city of dead people
It’s big but not really pretty or interesting like many I have seen.
Hi Karen,
It probably is very interesting if one digs into the people buried and their stories, but clearly I was just checking the place out. I mentioned that many civil war veterans were Irish--and their armory still exists in Manhattan. I need to go visit.
