Some of the younger generation not only appreciate classics such as Kansas but can produce such wonderful covers such as this one. The vocals are fairly similar to a young Steve Walsh
Fantastic job, guys❤! Love it! I'm very impressed with the vocals. To cover a Steve Walsh in his prime takes guts - and you did him and the song justice. 👏🏻👍🏻
Excellent! Try listening to this watching the full bright moon with beautiful clouds rolling across it... it's the Epitome of a "Kansas Sky" Very spiritual!
Wow...Y’all totally killed it....serious respect for these boys. If you ever need a Bassman that can play every Kansas song faithfully, I’m that guy ;)
Guess I'm late to the game. Holy shit. Awesome. From a guy who has listened to every nuance of every Kansas instrument and vocal. I'll have to say best representation of Phil Ehart I ever heard. Thank you immensely. Finally someone got it spot on. Everyone else was awesome too. Violin was fantastic but I don't know how you copy Robbie's vibe and intonation. You guys are the best. Hope I can find more of this to complete my day. Rock on forever: Steve, Kerry, Dave, Phil, Rich. Other than Rush, I don't know of better progressive rock musicians in this world. Where is the talent today?
I love all those Kansas masterpieces. You guys did the next step to keep it alive. What a good example of harder than the original work. I appreciate it. Thank You
A much under appreciated band. Saw them a few times. Monster musicians and very profound lyrics. Apercu from kansas kansas is the bomb. This album, Leftoverture, is killer too. Great job and singing Steve Walsh is a daring task. Thanks for keeping it alive. Peace and Love.
Just discovered this. Amazing cover by all. Thank you. The vocals in particular were stunning. I believe this may be the first time I've heard anyone that I would compare to Steve Walsh in his prime. Most people barely hang on but you put your own stamp on it and it was every bit as good. I don't think I have the words to express my joy in hearing something so rare.
From a longtime Kansas fan(1975), well done. And thank you, for showing love and respect to an all time great band, and masterpiece song( as so many Kansas songs are).
I echo Richie's sentiments. Al, I learn more surprising things about you every time you guys do a new piece such as this. I'll probably have a stroke if on the next project, which I know is a very difficult piece, shows up with you playing drums! Your group here is awesome. This is an excellent, high quality cover that you should be very proud of.
Tremendous disciplined performance. If this is an indication of how you would be in concert, then I would say better than some Kansas performances I have seen. Bravo!
Wow that was great fellas!! Such a pleasure to watch one my epic all time fav KANSAS tunes!! So much respect for the band KANSAS and for your honoring them with a near flawless tribute!! The vocalist here is spot on too!! Kudos!!
Oh my God if I could sing like you I would sell my soul I hope you didn't you have a gift far beyond what many people could ever attain living in Kansas now they have been one of my favorite bands for the last 40 years you guys are incredible as a singer goes Steve Walsh should be proud of you Kerry livgren should be amazed you guys rock
Wow Al, this is almost a one man show, fantastic! ... as always great performance of all of you. One more tune of the wonderful "Leftoverture" album perfectly interpreted and masterly played. Awesome mix and video too ... CONGRATS!
Wow! Thats really COOL! Great work and performances, great musicians!!!..and great song. Al..,....I had no idea , man.....;) That was really fun to watch. Im watchin that again.
Wow! You guys are so awesome, I love Kansas and you really did a great job with this cover. I can't mention everything I like about it because not enough space but I especially like how Al took the Chorus at 3:17 and added his own flavor to it. I actually prefer that to the original!
That was amazing. Found this video looking for a good cover of this great song. I have a Leftoverture/Point of Know Return songbook and it does not have all the transcribed parts. I am on a quest to learn the full song. So I am picking most of it by ear. So at 2:24 is that a Bm, Bb, A.... progression? Thanks
I remember when you started drawing me to yourself Jesus when this album first came out in the 70s I was being drawn but I was playing or toying with the expection of the worlds programed way of things .Thanks for showing me where to turn .It was up you got to turn it up to see the kingdom of God and the Truth and Jesus is the Truth. That is the key to see everything true as it's was meant to be before we fell as angels in heaven and got trapped in host bodies of flesh serpent skin. Then you Jesus made a way out. Your way not like these churches .
Oh.. I am crying..so beautiful.
One of my fave Kansas songs well covered in fact brilliant all the best from Aberdeen Scotland 🏴
WOW! My favorite band, and you sound so close!

Great song. Great job. I did a one man band version of this, but the violin was done on keyboards. : )

The greatest lead singers of rock 'n roll:
1) Freddie Mercury
2) Steve Perry
3) Steve Walsh
4) Everybody else....
Also a mistake: 5:06 "rythm" guitar ;)
Which mistake?
Great stuff! Although violin too high and guitar too low in the mix.
@SgtZaqq
Ah Crap. I left of the other H. I can never get that word right. lol
The voice not quite Steve Walsh, but still an excellent rendition.
Idk. It’s missing the feel. I mean yeah ya did it. But... no heart. No emotion. This song always gives me that feeling in my throat. This doesn’t.
Great!!!
