The original release was Bang PD version and not Jin's. This demo version is Jin's ORIGINAL and OWN melody which was not selected for the album years ago. He mentioned this in his old vlive where he was quite disappointed. But later on, he did like the released version. This is the reason the 2 versions are really different. Since this is the rough and demo version back then, the lyrics were just placeholder which normally may not make much sense. The priority was the melody. Even the recording was quite raw. Since this was not chosen for the release, it remained as is including the placeholder lyrics. Hope this be officially released as a new single - Epiphany 2.0 (Lullaby) or included in his solo album. For sure, lyrics will be polished and high quality recording. Since this is Jin's original and own melody, it is so special to him and kept it. Took the opportunity to include it in the Proof album. Thank you Jin for keeping your version all these years and sharing it with us. People call this Jinpiphany to differentiate from the released version.
And this is the only demo version in the Proof album that is totally different in terms of melody, lyrics, etc...that is why people love it. the other demos are essentially same melody as the released ones except difference in member singing, arrangement, etc.

indeed it is a different song. it is a demo of Jin's original and own melody which was not chosen to be released for the album years ago. the released one was Bang PD's version. you may have noticed that the lyrics don't quite make sense. that usually happens for demos since priority is the melody. since his version was not chosen, he just kept it with the unpolished lyrics and raw recording. since this is special to him, I guess he made sure that even the raw demo version be included in this album to be shared with the army. and people are so happy with this version and hoping it be released as a new single or be included in his solo album. lyrics will jist be polished with high quality recording. so awaiting for Epiphany 2.0 (My Lullaby). People also call this #Jinpiphany.

Just knowing that Jin's demo of Epiphany was an English version is so amazingly awesome! I believe Jin was thinking way ahead. If his song (english version but polished) had been released back in 2018, this would have been #1 on the BB charts.

Exactly the same reaction you had as first time listening to HIS demo version...as someone who does not understand Korean... Was thankful that this is an all English song... since the words were not making sense at first.. Listening several times helped me understand what he wanted to express..made me feel what he was feeling deep inside... It really made sense what he really wanted to say to his listeners..to Army... The demo version is a rough draft..the melody is there..what epiphany he experienced.. It's a wonderful piece..with Jin's amazing voice..since they just cannot ignore the song..Bang PD did the tweaks..simplified the lyrics.. Maintaining the melody...released the amended version of the song..I still hope this demo version will be on Jin's solo album together the already released version... Borahea, Jin! 💜🤗fr🇨🇦

The lyrics seem to be "placeholder lyrics" but omg, I reeeally want him to release this version with actual Korean lyrics! I think it's very clear that he was more involved in this version because his voice is utilized so much better. It fits so perfectly in his vocal range and enables him to really use his voice to express emotion.
