Agree with all you said. So tired of the drama. I listen to BTS to get away from the politics and all the disconcerting things going on in the world. The last thing I want is politics infecting music that is therapeutic and gives us a momentary escape. There is nothing wrong with supporting various political movements, etc. But let's keep it distant from "entertainment".
I mean I get not wanting politics in music all the time but speaking up about what’s happening in Palestine it’s not political, it’s human life being taken away at alarming rates. I know because they’re in the military they probably can’t say anything but it would just be nice to know they’re doing anything to try to help like so many of us are trying too.

Dave, I've spoken with you several times about my history of being a US Navy "Brat" as we were labeled and which our mother hated, yet tradition ARE Traditions. As an adult (as also mentioned in the past) I was hired to create and manage a not for profit that created links and support for military families in the NW Sound. We had and still have every branch of the US's military represented here in my city and county, in Seattle, and in other locations around the Puget Sound.
The bottom line is that when men and women join any of the American military, certain things that they could do anytime, and anywhere are definitely off the table depending on a variety of factors. No enlisted or officer personnel can freely speak about things relating to the military because of one phrase: the military works for the Nation and has rules that address the needs of the Nation. Period.
People who are in any NATIONS military will have the same rules. These rules are very clearly addressed out loud in public indoctrination meetings prior to the men and women becoming official at whatever rank in which they can join. BTW, most beginners do not start with a rank in the US. Some people began in highschools via classes in their for Basic Training, which took them forward even when before people sign up

People need to understand that an artist is not required to make a statement on ANYTHING just because you want them to. They owe us nothing. They don't need to share anything beyond their music. I wish that all would stop, because I'm seeing it everywhere, and it's ridiculous. You feel strongly about something? Fine. Go out and support it, but stop demanding others make some sort of statement too. They don't have to!
The issue is people are tired of supporting people who don’t care. You’re right nobody has to speak out nobody has to care but why wouldn’t you want too?

With people like you, they are damned either way because if they did speak out about the issue at hand and it wasn't what you wanted to hear, you would still be pissed off about it. Yes, they have partnered with UNICEF for their OnMyMind initiatives. They have stated they want the end of violence for children and families. They have done their part, is that not enough for you??
They want to export war even to people who do not live in war. They cannot bear the idea that there are people in the world who live in a situation of peace and prosperity, who are calm, who eat well, who have access to care. They want those people to experience at least a small part of their suffering, preferably not that small. Unfollowing the celebrity you love, for example BTS, will definitely bring more sadness into your life. Of course, even if BTS and all the celebrities in the world held press conferences, made public speeches, went to the UN and said loudly that they absolutely want a ceasefire, it would change absolutely nothing, it would not change even a speck of politics of Israel. So the whole operation serves no purpose other than to drag into misery even people who do not have the misfortune of living in a war zone.
People/ "fans" need to stop putting their own political beliefs onto other people, especially artists. If an artist beliefs/ views are different from you then you hate on them & if they don't say anything & you want them to speak about it you then you also hate on them smh. You lot are a bunch of jokers.

💜That is why it is happening more he isn't available to defend himself. The boys have always had to deal with drama in their life but they were able to put a stop to it , now they are not available because they are not accessible to the public like before , so everyone is taken advantage of that and attacking them while they are serving and not out to clear the air , because yes their lawyers can handle the legal things but as far as anything having to do with their reputation no one can fix but them. If the company says something it could make it better or worse depending on what is said. So the boys will have to do it. Jin will be out in June so hopefully he will be able to fix some of the damage. 💜
JK's political beliefs and all of BTS's political beliefs are their's and their's alone, nothing to do with their music or public persona. Just like their sexuality, they are entitled to their views, beliefs and attractions, no one has the right to try to impose their views on others, we ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE, FREEDOM TO LOVE WHO WE WANT, FREEDOM OF SPEECH. FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Some people need to build a bridge and get over it, they're not always right.
Since when does an artist's political beliefs change how much we like their music or what kind of person they are anyways? Politics have nothing to do with music. I would never try to force an artist to support my political stance. I feel really bad Jin has to come back to this whole mess.

AFAIK, none of the celebrity block lists have targeted BTS or kpop idols generally. They are targeting mainly western celebrities and western companies, to undermine their ad revenues on all social media platforms. Most people participating say it makes them feel less helpless and it's empowering to know that in the modern world of surveillance capitalism and the attention economy, it's our individual attention that is the currency and we still have the power to withhold our attention from companies that are complicit in genocide.

I agree with Tae, Jeon Jungkook has the most beautiful voice in S Korea. As a matter of fact, in the entire world! He is talented and humble, perfect idol, along with his six brothers. Leave him alone. His eyes and smile are pure innocence! No dirty evil thoughts dwell in his entire being. People, he left home at 13. That took a lot of courage. I am so glad he made it to be an idol. I just want to enjoy this young man's talents. The arts transcends politics.
I agree with a lot of what you say here, though Tae also has a very beautiful and soothing voice that I love to listen to. While I prefer to believe none of BTS have evil thoughts, I am cracking up at the thought of JK's smile being pure innocence. 😂😂😂 That boy is so far from innocent at this point, he brags about it himself, but definitely not evil.

If Korea is like the US there are rules they must follow during service OPSEC rules are to protect our troops so this would include other countries that are at war with each other… just leave them alone and let them sever their time just like other soldiers
