Tell u the truth there alot of on and off answer about it. I heard u can as long as there's no size limit and u can proof to them how many u are cooking on the spot. But I'm not actually 100 percent sure
I usually keep my rod up and let the current take it. Reel slowly to keep tension. Catch really tell u what the best bait is cus they bite different on different spots

I have been wanting to get back into fishing but I hate going alone and my friends rarely want to go. I grew up near there and the Kings River has always been a special place for me and I went there a lot in my 20's, when you could go pretty much anywhere without restrictions, but that's changed now.
