While replacing the knife, the shear bolts broke apart & those two holes (where new shear bolt goes) are not aligned now. Any suggestion what might have happened? I took the knife out. The manual said to turn on the machine to match the holes. When I turned on, a big noise came and the shear bolts went flying off.
All Polar cutters with gearbox drive wind CLOCKWISE to bring the knife DOWN. If you keep winding clockwise, then the knife will go past bottom dead point and back up to top deadpoint. Check that the link arm is straight.
@Carina Segura. I am sure there is a "rotation direction arrow" moulded into the side cover over the flywheel on the 76EM. Sorry but I can't help with your error code 84. My 45 years experience of paper cutters is mainly as an operator, not a technician. Try Googleing your question. There is a website called "colorprintforum" that might give you some guidance. What function does the knob that appears in the first 0 to 8 seconds in this video? What does it move?
Does it matter if your spin it clockwise or counter clockwise when lifting the blade back to position?
