Pharyngeal Muscles

This video demonstrate the attachment, nerve supply and actions of pharyngeal muscles.
There are 6 muscles on each side; 3 circular and 3 longitudinal
They all supplied by vagus nerve through pharyngeal plexus Except stylopharyngeus muscle that supplied by glossopharyngeal nerve.

Thank you so much. I’m a dental hygiene student. I read my textbook to preview the pharyngeal chapter before i go to the class, and I felt that was so hard to understand with the long name of terms and information by myself. The cricopharyngeus is also supplied by the recurrent laryngeal nerve.

Yes, cranial part joins the vagus and through its pharyngeal branch that contributes to pharyngeal plexus supplies these muscles. Generally speaking, they are supplied by pharyngeal branch of vagus.
