Wow! Don Dokken Unplugged! This is special! Proof that the essence of Dokken is Don and his singing and songwriting. As great as George Lynch is, he is an additional attraction of the Band as well as Jeff Pilsen. Great guys. I have nothing negative to say about them. But Don is the reason Dokken existed. He’s the main singer and songwriter. Thanks so much for posting this incredible intimate show! Makes me hear these songs in a different light. The essence of Dokken! Don has a gift! I believe his voice is God given as well as his songwriting. This show is for Posterity. Long live Don Dokken!
Thank you so much for recording the show and putting it on here and also thank you for putting on this awesome show! Seeing Don live was a dream come true and getting to meet him was so amazing!

To all the naysayers who say he can’t sing anymore. Listen to this show! As late as 2017, he still sang well. Then he had throat cancer and had an operation that wrecked his vocal cords. Then he had back surgery which was botched and he got paralyzed on his right arm. So he is struggling right now. Now he can’t even hold a guitar pick in his right hand and play. He lost all the feeling in his right hand after the back surgery. I’ll pray for him that he gets his health back. But this show was before he had all those health problems and he sounded great! Long live Don Dokken!
yeah, people just like to talk to much, don is and always will be great, if he would just do acoustic shows it will be great too, i think dokken s new album will be great just like broken bone was
Sure, as stated...he's not Don Dokken from the 80s, but he's still got the pipes, especially for acoustic music. I personally think those are the songs where he still shines. But, regardless, he is an 80s icon and we are lucky he is still performing.
This so Awesome! I can finally understand the lyrics at this speed. I wore out all of My cassettes back in the 80's and finally bought a Dokken CD with the MP3 download a couple years ago. Having this on YT is Awesome!!
Dokken was one of my favorite bands as a teen. I bought Tooth and Nail when it first came out. These guys gave so much to the 80's rock era and inspired me musically. I still can play some of the riffs from tooth and nail... albeit sloppy now. Don was the soul... George was the fury... Mick was the fire... and Jeff was the heart. Their sound was original... and I preferred it to Ratt and Priest (but I loved Priest back then) But Dokken was to me like steak is to steak lover. I could not get enough. Don was singing long before he formed Dokken. He is up there in years. Good to see he still plays. He was born with music in his soul. Halford and Don were the best voices in rock back then (Halford still has serious pipes today) .
Wish he would discover BARITONE guitars. I had thyroid cancer and had my neck fused and lost my high range. I also grew older. So now I retune music down to my present vocal range and it works great. He would be AMAZING with baritone tuning.
I'd love to see Don, Jeff, George, and Steve Brown do one last tour together but more like this. Something similar to One Live Night where Don can sing in a lower key where he still sounds good.
OH for goodness sake...we ALL get old....a little fatter and some of us go bald as well....this dude paid his dues and is VERY talented.....A LOT of people would have loved to walk in his shoes....
@@wakethebarbarian4577 Jeff Pilson said he was on pain pills everyday but didn't consider them drugs because he had a prescription. LOL He thinks he's Elvis.
Poor Don Dokken,he has always been through depression because he's a closet x dresser and gets really confused at time.Terrible life made of lies he has been living.

Jody Watson I was lucky enough to meet him once also. It was a great moment (2017) he gave me 10 minutes of his time. 👍🏼👍🏼
Don is my brother. And a great song writer, guitar player and a hell of a friend to us early metal players.

Don Dokken aint got nothing better to do. So he'll keep on rocking until he dies. And that is why Don Dokken rocks.
Man he is not as great as the 80s, but damn he sure can get the soul and feel of the songs
LOVE THAT BEATLE SONG!
This is great! Thank you for posting. Very sad Don can't play guitar anymore, I'm sure he's devastated but he's still out there giving all he's got.
DID HAVE A LOVE AFFAIR WITH DON FOR 25 YEARS-A BLAST! LOVE YOU DONNY- FULL MOON JEN

Is Don's guitar tunes to D?
Before we reach that point. Is Eddie narrating the same old standard script here ?
LMAO! On the song list, some moron put “Without You” instead of “Alone Again”.
yo creo que es hora de retirarte Don Dokken.tu tiempo ha pasado. gracias por todo
He says he never did drugs, but he's drunk on Jack every fl'n day!
I doubt it. He has given some great interviews lately. He should quit the cigarettes. I own tobacco stocks so I'm kind of a hypocrite.

Com'on! Give some thumb down!!! He's washed up lol Hi from France :)
your hair line is washed up dont you got a war to be surrendering in right about now
Just stop with this nonsense. Dokken will never die! He even talked about moving to France lately. I wouldn't do it if I were him.
Just stop. Maybe write songs or produce. Everyone gets old. Geez.
Poor Don Dokken,he has always been through depression because he's a closet x dresser and gets really confused at time.Terrible life made of lies he has been living.
go eat some snails and stay off the internet projector head
Haha love Don, but his vocal melodies are so strange...LOL. Voice has been shot for a long time. LOL
No.
