- GTA Online's pursuit races are often chaotic and unpredictable, especially at the start. But you must not give up after a bad start as you will never know what happens next with all the Cops during the race and you might still get first!

It's a old homage Back to midnight club 2 because you could do the same thing
Combination of three things make them annoying. Overly aggressive cops, NPCs who can't drive, and other players who can't drive
And massive delay lol
NPCs actually can drive. They are scripted to piss you the fuck off by ramming into your sorry ass.
Your car is also scripted to spin out without any chances if you do run into one of these.

I hate it when they put 5 stars bc there’s so much stuff going on 3 stars should be the max in these races
@@vlexxo4710 Once you see past all the bullets hitting your car, usually without damaging you, then 5 stars is really just a slow-moving obstacle course; there's no need to panic.
I wasn't prepared to see racing that strongly resembles Midnight Club but man I'm all for it.
Yeah, guess you can't say they copied it cause Rockstar made Midnight club. This brings back lots of memories! I got Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition for Christmas when it came out. Still have the game on my shelf lol and a PS2

Pursuit races are the easiest by far
Once you've nailed a good route to take
Most times the ones where most others dont go down
Turn ya headlights off so you dont get sheep tailing ya ass
And its easy peasy

You don’t know pain until your in first and this mysterious force pushes your car
''I suck at driving'' should be every GTA 'racers' gamertag.
In the pursuit race "Groving" R* tried to make a route very difficult by putting 2 dumpster in the way, but if you take it at the right speed, you'll blitz pass the competition.
After you get the checkpoint at the gas station, turn left, turn down the alley, keep to the left where you see 2 dumpsters, stay on the path that leads to the bridge, continue forward across the road to a wooden barricade, bust though, land on the path, then continue to the checkpoint (you can take the small jump in you want, you wont lose time).
If you sink it up just right, you'll be way further ahead
Definitely will look into this, I've seen many different routes taken by somewhat competent drivers and was wondering if its faster as well.
That first race had quite a few racers heading for the moon...
And other words wait for the drive to mess up and take 1st place.

How to win pursuit races
1. Use a custom calico
2. Drive straight lines

yeehhh GTA not really design for Races. that why you find many tight corner and other obstacle. meanwhile forzas are races focused game. this road layout will make people goes crazy if applied on forza

all you gotta do is build up a big lead early, the other drivers will mess up with their shitty and unfair ways of driving anyway 😅

No, 95% of the time you should give up. Pursuit races are decided before the 1st checkpoint. The big lobbies, with all the awful GTA drivers, combined with AI that will ram you at every opportunity, is a recipe for an awful time.
This and cayo perico are the best gta online dlcs
These races would be so much more enjoyable if two things changed:
1. The community collectively got better at driving. I can't tell you how many times my race has been ruined because other people can't drive in a straight line.
2. The servers get better/stronger. Even just watching this video you can see how many times AI cars spawn, despawn, teleport, or player cars desynch and do bizarre things you can't predict. This takes the skill element out of the game and introduces luck.

Honestly I don’t even think it’s fully their fault. Alot of it also comes from the game’s shitty crash enhancers, making the slightest taps turn into full on accidents. There are so many stupid fucking spin-outs and crashes that honestly shouldn’t have happened. Yeah, bad drivers exist but it doesn’t help you have that BS on top of it.

I love how a many routes people are coming up with, especially at 5:13, where folk shoot off to the right you stay left. There is no one perfect route for everyone to consider the meta. Just do what you feel most comfortable with or push your skills and your vehicle to the limit in such a chaotic race. I really hope they make more pursuit races
theres a better route on these races the thing is not getting griefed or crashed by 10 dudes all the time
There’s surprisingly a lot of thought put into these routes. A game mode like this has so much replay value when done right
They need to make it so you can create custom tracks with all classes.
I'm a sweat I actually practise the routes in free mode. I go routes that I have not seen anyone go lol.

Tip: memorize the tacks and actually use the brakes to avoid crashing. One crash can cost you the race.
90% of the time its the npcs or cops that got nitro somehow that crash into me.
This looks like so much fun.

Nothing beats being In 3rd for most of the race then getting rammed into last place.

I had a Pursuit race where racers griefed me to Last Place and then there's this ramp that made me shoot all the way to 6th place. I end up at 2nd Place.
