    I think that they've kinda shown their hand with the active cooling. To me this shows that the successor to the 3+ will also be put into this shell, which would make total sense when you consider the cost of tooling for moulding etc. So again I'm sticking to my 2+ and waiting for better PS2 and 3DS that will hopefully come with the RP4.

      Time will tell. I don’t see this having issues with ps2. But emulation of 3ds is a more mysterious component. Appreciate the comment!

    This thing looks sweet! Almost want to buy because of the nostalgia of the GBA SP type shape

    If they didn't include sliders, I'd probably buy it, big props to analog shoulder buttons for driving games, but playing driving games with sliders? WTF!? Props to them putting in active cooling cuz my RP3+ runs pretty damn HOT. Shame with all that extra space they couldn't do front firing speakers.

      Agreed on the active cooling. Solid point about driving games! Now I’m curious. I’ll just have to feel it out before I can say how I feel about it.

    Real talk, I much prefer the circle pad style analogs for handheld devices, compared to mini-analog sticks. I find them way easier to precisely control.

      I like this opinion. Definitely a good point

      @@RETRODNA Yeah, I love my Vita, but every time I play a game that uses the analogs on it, I find myself wishing it had 3DS circle pads instead (but not the C-stick nub on the New 3DS model, that's awful lol)

      @@twentysevengayfrogs thank you! Yea I reached out a couple of other places and got a response from retroid as well. I find it strange that they don’t include that as a feature for their devices on the product page. I ran into the same worry with one of anbernics devices and it ended up having rumble. Maybe it’s just assumed as a standard feature at this point? 🤷‍♂️ either way thanks for the response!

    LOL, Just got my 3+ and I was thinking I was lucky I didn't jump on the 3...... lol. Oh Retroid! Oh well, as much as I love the clam shell, I'll enjoy the 3+ until it dies! *grin* At this rate, they will probably be "Holographic Retroid 8+"....

    I’m debating between getting this or the pocket 3+
    I like the clamshell design but is performance identical to the 3 or the 3+?
    More after performance then design tho but if I can have both, why not

    • @RETRODNA
      @RETRODNA  ปีที่แล้ว

      As I mentioned in the video (lol), The performance of thisnis better than the 3+. Same exact specs with a couple of minor upgrades. This has better battery life and will supposedly have rumble. If you havent bought either yet then the flip is the way to go
